Regarding that pedo arguing that a Google search is what got him in trouble, he might not have been completely untruthful. Saw this EFF press release today:

I was wrong when I said he didn't say what he was charged with. He said he was charged with possession. The cops used his search to get a warrant.
Fuck pedophiles, but holy shit will police abuse this system. We're genuinely gonna see people arrested for thoughtcrimes in our lifetime.
