I react to every single "man beat up after saying n-word", "pedo beat up by father", "drug dealer bashed after dealing to kids", "crazy racist Karen calls cops on innocent black man", etc, like this.
I'm not going to believe a single word anyone says when a week from now it will turn out half the video is missing and the person who's video went viral either instigated it or just went out to bash someone or kill a rival gangbanger or whatever the fuck.
I'd be willing to be 99% of Ukraine and Palestine war footage these days is just people in Texas filming dodgy old decommissioned tanks at their private range getting blown up.

I think the closest it's got to that here is the Ukraine war threads. People just get investing in being "right". No clue why, but Reddit is ground zero for that sort of thought being the prime mover of cultural relevancy. There's no discussion, no back and forth, it's pure bloodsports, someone has to be right and someone has to get dunked on. The fact that it's two idiots in Maine arguing online over whether truffles are good or not like the fate of the world depends on it is almost exclusively a Reddit thing. Even Facebook will by and large have someone post something stupid, get 300 replies, and none will get a response from the OP outside of troon posters banning everyone. Predditors will argue days and days over the same thing and stare at the updoots, as if it matters.

I can't think of why it's that way culturally, the site is not unique in terms of format, but is unique in terms of the culture of the userbase.

Head mod of the Sam and Max sub got sick of all the "Are Sam and Max gay?" posts, alongside the lewd art of the two together and decided to ban all shipping discussion, as well as gay art of the duo. Calls the people into Sam and Max fucking sexual deviants.

This of course has led the post to being brigaded by people who only post in Trans/LGBT subs, who just so happen to be huge fans of Sam and Max as of the time of the gay content being banned, brigading the post and calling it bigoted. Head mod has not fucking backed down either.

Back when I used to visit /r/PublicFreakouts and /r/ActualPublicFreakouts the same freakout vid would be posted multiple times and the story behind the vid would change each time.

"Old guy beat up because he said the N-word"
"Old guy beat up because he sexually harassed a girl"
"Old guy beat up because disrespected another old guy"

But the text on the video says he kicks puppies and lit his own grandmother on fire? Surely nobody would lie about that for updoots. Predditors are just the most easily mislead folks, and for most videos you can ignore any title/text and say they're having a nigger moment(but the reddit mods ask that you please not notice anything about all of the videos on the public freakout subreddits) and in most cases you'll be more right than whatever slop they choose to post it as.

PL because all you fags did too already: In Web 1.0, my early to late teen, days i used to go to weeb meet-up's organized via members of a local chat site, the age of the average kid there was 15 but there always were a couple of 25+ year old guys around, too, and you always heard stories, or even saw, girls going/hooking up with these guys. There was never any parental supervision or security, these guys knew exactly where to look for victims. It's just much more out in the open and blatant in the present day.

New rule - no shipping art/discussion​


This place has turned into an absolute cesspool of sexual deviants. I’m tired of people posting “are Sam and max gay?” and “here’s a list of reasons I think Sam and max are gay”, or posting pictures of sweaty blushing Sam and Max in lewd poses with each other. That seems to be about 90% of the content getting posted here now and that’s not what this sub is about.

I created this sub 12 years ago to talk about Sam and max stuff. At the time of its creation, there were several games, comics, and a Saturday morning cartoon to discuss. Then a few years ago, things started going sideways when people started posting porn here. I wanted to talk about something I enjoyed as a kid, and instead I got to see pictures of a cartoon bunny rabbit getting raped in the ass by a big veiny cartoon cock. Thanks for ruining my childhood memories with that, folks. Classy.

Now it seems like what’s left here are a bunch of losers who have nothing better to do with their time than repeatedly start the same discussion about whether some fictional cartoon characters are gay based on whatever “evidence” they found in the comics/cartoon/game.

What, specifically, are you trying to accomplish by arguing about whether two cartoon characters are gay? They’re cartoons, and if you want them to be gay in your headcanon, then so be it. Just realize that there are also people here that give zero fucks about whether a cartoon character is gay and would like to discuss other things.

So effective immediately, I’m permanently banning the posting of “shipping” related content. Take it somewhere else, like deviantart or maybe make your own Sam and max shipping subreddit if that’s what trips your trigger.

Edit: Wow, glad to see some activity that isn’t someone posting another thread asking if Sam and max are gay for the 100,000th time!

Same, I used to use reddit daily and it was just hours of being MATI and seeing retarded shit. Eventually even 4chan became like that, but at least it's still a little usable.

I've seen redditors complain about the sports subs being dens of conservatism to the point where people were suggesting adding it to masstagger. They're really not and it makes you wonder just what the fuck redditors think qualifies as conservative.
