Actually he multiplied the loaves and fishes. There were only five loaves and two fishes. So most of those weren't even killed, I guess they were just created already edible and, presumably, dead.

Harm reduction. We can’t fully eradicate CP either, does that mean we should stop trying? There was a time some of the biggest subreddits were „sexwithdogs“ and „jailbait“.
There is a reason places like KF are far and few between and porn is everywhere. Cutting off the money supply is a big step already.

The difference is that while CP and beastiality is categorically wrong and criminal in any situation, can you really say that about adult nudity?

Few would say that it's wrong for a couple to send nudes to each other, for example. What about pics of someone you met one night, and so on... There's going to be a huge grey area. Laws should not be made where they will not be possible to enforce properly. Nor where they will not be respected by the general public.

A better idea would be to make it illegal to make money from sexual content (with real people), similar to how prostitution laws work.

If a gooner has to hide behind three proxies and risk ransomware just to look at porn then thats a lot better than flooding every single timeline where everyone else posts including children.

Why yes, i prefer whores risk their lives in some backalley and johns risking arrest and their lives ruined than have that shit normalized and promoted everywhere. I also prefer drugs being dangerous to access than heroin being sold right next to funko pops and having 100 million dollar ad campaigns as if it was coca cola. Like, why make murder illegal, people will always kill each other anyways.

it is not either or.
no matter how hard you crack down on drugs, it is still ultimately the parents responsibility to keep their kids away from situations where they could run into people who would try to get them on drugs.

trying to tear down the free internet to combat porn is a bit like trying to abolish cash to combat drug dealers: yeah it will reduce drug dealing, but it'll also force a massive level of intrusive financial surveillance and government control on the entire populaiton, and that's just not worth it.

You cannot cut off the money supply because most money for CP etc. is not traded as "Kids being raped $10s a video" is it? A lot of the money is coming from normal institutions being subverted in ways you cannot detect. Not long ago there was a youtube CP group discovered that used 2 different videos to give out URLs and passwords and the sickos had to watch both to find out how to access it. There is no way to detect what a URL with no way to see inside without a password is CP and there's no way to know a video of a kids soccer match with 5 random letters in the background is a password to a trove of child torture videos. Paypal can't know "4 chairs and a lamp" from a furniture site is actually a request for a 4 year old rape video and has no way to know what goods or services are being exchanged only that money has been transfered.

You cannot stop people doing this. You can minimize it's impact but you literally cannot stop it. Any system you set up will be used to do it because you cannot prevent people doing it. There are still loads of CP accounts on social media and probably subreddits as well. Someone will set up a new subreddit, discord or imageboard board and spam it with CP. Link it to all their friends and disappear into the night. It's like vandalizing stuff, you can't pre-emptively stop it because you can never know where it's coming from. And before you say "Well scan all the images and auto report them!" that does happen but CP is made daily in many ways. These groomers will get young teenagers to send nudes then blackmail them into getting/doing things to their young siblings and sending pictures of that to them. You cannot filter for an image you haven't seen before and don't know what to look for in it.

We'd all love for CP to be gone and none ever made again but that isn't how life works. It will always exist and there will always be sickos on the internet wanting to share it and create it. There's nothing you can do about it except to minimize it's impact but even then it's difficult since anything you do to make it illegal will be used by bad actors against you. Many of Reddit's stop "super mods" and admin approved mods have collections of CP they spam onto subreddits they dislike. How the fuck do you stop that? There's no profit in it, there's no way to know what subs will be hit. It's a tactic to get the other subs shut down and immediately they are. So innocent people get fucked with and lose all their stuff like you said, but they're not the ones posting CP or wanting CP to be posted.

And that's before we get into the issue with teenagers having smart phones and lying about their age when sharing content.
 
I find it fascinating that there are people here savvy enough to have found this place, yet not savvy enough to know the actual end result of a centralized internet. Here's a spoiler, this will not go the way you think it will. You're imagining a scenario where the powers that be clean up the streets, and the bad guys get caught and loaded into the back of the paddywagon crying. What will actually happen will be Liz Fong Jones wakes up one morning and cackles that the evil Nazi TERF transphobe haven known as the Kiwi Farms is down for good. We all have to deal with the internet becoming a bit smaller and a bit more homogenized, and the kiddie smut peddlers will find another way to peddle their wares anyway.

It's insane to think how many issues would be solved overnight if parents just put their foot down collectively and decided "no more smartphones until little Billy is at least 18". Unfortunately this would involve people being responsible and proactive without prior government orders to do so, so it'll virtually never happen. I hate lazy irresponsible niggercattle parents so much it's unreal.

You know one of the countries with the lowest drug addiction rate it's Singapore do you know the penalty for drug smuggling in Singapore the problem with the war on drugs it didn't go far enough drug traffickers people who embezzle money on their behalf should been put to death child predators should be put to death people who produce child **** should be put to death human traffickers records should be put to death people really don't mind going to prison people really don't like being dead.

Every single porn website should be required to use know your customer I have to do it when I sign on to my Robin Hood account I have to do it when I sign on to my Coinbase account it's weird that sites that sell adult content and not hold to the same standards of sites that sell liquor over the Internet.

Right now there are journos and legislators pushing for AI scanning of every single message and a blanket ban on encryption, with the pretense of "protecting the children". If this charade is working to persuade even users on a website that tranny jannies have tried to cancel for years, then we are truly fucked.

imposing ID requirements on the porn sites themselves (or just straight up outlawing them) i have no problem with.
but like i said earlier: doing this will remove the big commercial and open providers of porn, but private underground distribution through p2p filesharing will still exist. that is the part you cannot effectively crack down on because it is just private citizens sending arbitrary data to each other for free.

i am in no way against dismantling the porn industry and putting all the providers and distributors out of business, i would welcome it, but at the same time one has to recognize that even without those entities, porn will still exist on the internet. yes it would be less convenient to access, and it would not be promoted or advertised because you could no longer legally make money from it, but letting your ipad raise your kids will still not be a safe decision.

The argument is that the steps you would need to do truly get porn off the internet would be so obtrusive and so onerous, there'd be serious questions as to whether or not it'd be worthwhile at all. Are you really willing to flush a free and open internet down the toilet just to get those dang dirty gooners?

its still a much better situation than having porn bombarded 24/7 and promoted everywhere. That a ban doesn't make something go away completely is not an excuse for making it as normalized and easily available as possible and it also doesn't make the ban not worth it.

If Twitter by itself decided to ban porn tomorrow on their own platform then so what? porn still exists, they could share it on other sites but coomers will still scream genocide and fursecution at the top of their lungs because they loose their biggest source of exposure to spread their stuff on the general population and that hurts them. There's a difference between seeing a picture of Mario getting railed up the ass because you signed up to a site specifically meant for porn and seeing a picture of Mario getting railed up the ass because you were curious about the new game and clicked on the wrong retweet.

One thing does not negate another either, i also don't think kids should be on the internet at all and parents leaving kids with smart devices are irresponsible.
