I swear that redditors have twisted minds of their own, I won't be surprised if they've developed a cult around the site. No matter how shitty their opinions are, all it takes is a single validation from some random stranger to prove they're 100% right. Even if you tell them that a literal car's going to hit them in a few seconds, they'll dismiss you off as a lunatic while they get turned to meat paste.

I don't buy this, aside from being skinny and pale what else? with Western beauty standards, you have to be skinny but also hit the gym 2 hs a day to have an ass and abs. Most other cultures involve perfect skin hair and make up done, plus big tits big ass and a tiny waist. Asians can have no ass and no tits and be considered a 10, that's not happening with a latina, arab or black woman. They are just bullies but their standards are not more insane than a Claudia Schiffer or an Adriana Lima.

To me this Redditor reads like your typical Asian who likes ro humble brag. "oh we Asians are so superior that a size 4 is considered obese in our lands" The story is most likely bullshit.

The skinny and pale thing goes way harder, though. Public figures in Asian countries literally bleach their own skin and entertainment idols pass out on stage because the companies literally steal their food to force them into 00 or smaller sizes. In Korea, the rule of thumb for an idol is to weigh one kilo per inch of height. It's fucking insane.

Don't even mention the fact that plastic surgery is gifted to middle schoolers for graduation. You think lip fillers are ugly? Asian cosmetic surgery does shit like jaw shaving and clavicle removal on the regular.

That's Korea not China ( the redditor and the bullies country of origin), and I am talking about average people. I also think the korea plastic surgery things does not apply to the rest of Asia ,the rate of plastic surgery per Capita is 8.9, not much higher than Argentina, Brazil and Colombia, much poorer countries, not much is said about South American beauty standards that has 3 countries in the top 5 of most plastic surgery per Capita even though people keep talking about insane asian beauty standards going by Korea alone ( There are several cosmetic procedures that come from south America and a lot of them are quite risky, Brazilian butt lift is a good example)


And even for entertainment industry people, your average Hollywood actress doesn't have less surgery than a kpop idol , in fact, at least going by analysis from surgeons i have seen, they have more, they also starve and hit the gym way harder.

I'm not saying asian don't have high standards, but the rest of the world does also.

You mentioned asian, so I was speaking in general. And it's also not just Korea when it comes to things like skin bleaching and weight, that's endemic of all east asian countries. There were trends going on not long ago about Chinese women showing off how severely underweight they are, the whole leg straightening surgery, etc. The clavical shaving thing is actually a Chinese trend, and idol culture is similar throughout the China/Korea/Japan trifecta. The biggest difference is that Korea loves to be fake-western versus China and Japan which tend to have more insular trends (and in Japan's case, an extra dose of pedophilia).

My point was just that while asian countries "only" have a few standards compared to others, the absolute voracity they chase those standards with makes them imo just as bad as western countries, sometimes worse.

r/unitedkingdom jannies nuke almost the entire comment section on a post about the UK banning rapists self-identifying as women. Sub is an absolute joke and has been for years now. It has some of the most heavy-handed moderation on all of reddit. Again, I ask why do people continue using subs like this or try to discuss anything remotely controversial on reddit? Unfortunately, pullpush has been down for about a week now, so I can't share the removed comments. Hopefully they got captured, and hopefully reddit didn't kill pullpush as it's the only practical tool we have left to hold jannies and redditors accountable.
