I'll be glad when this stupid fucking election is over, I'm fed up of it infecting absolutely everything.

How can people be so stupid as to believe this total nonsense? If the wrong candidate winning really is an existential threat, then what you have is hardly a democracy.

The way you can achieve karma is exhausting for a new account, you can either post in a completely dead subreddit (since those are the only ones that allow new Reddit accounts) and try to scrape the smallest amount of karma. Or you can try to use Reddit owned subreddits which are so boring and filled some of the most insufferable people. Even in those mainstream subreddits it’s still hard to get karma as reddit automatically makes low karma (new accounts) harder to see for the average Reddit scroller.

Or you can just run a karma farming bot. Or just buy an already aged account. I know jeet farms often buy and sell them in bulk.

Bullshit like this is why reddit is pretty much ground zero for the dead Internet theory.

SO can’t stop smoking weed and is breast feeding

Me (M23) and my Fiancé (F23) just got into an argument over her smoking weed while breast feeding. studies I’ve looked at and a nurse at the hospital when our daughter was born told us that since weed is stored in the fat it tends to be super concentrated in breast milk. We both agreed that we shouldn’t do that to our newborn daughter. 5 weeks later, she told me at 5am she got a random boost of energy to go “clean her car”. I walk outside about 3 minutes after her and she’s walking up and down the road smoking. Every time I bring up that it’s not about us, it’s about our daughter she just tells me to shut up and I don’t understand. It’s very clearly recreational use, my fiancé is eating fine and sleeping fine. I don’t know what to do or how to reason with her on this. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

They do it's called astroturfing. There are organizations like Shareblue that pay people to post pro DNC talking points and memes. The purpose is to make it look like they have more support then they really do. It's most obvious on Twitter. You will often see an extremely basic leftie talking point with no punchline get 100k and then it has just 1000 replies to it.
