reddit General

Found one of the paid/bot accounts that isn't even trying to be subtle. The past couple of days it's been exclusively posting early voting numbers to various local subreddits in multiple states and telling the youth to go vote they are very afraid that they lost the early voting advantage.

Their post history was completely normal until about ten days ago when they started spamming political posts everywhere account created in 2023

The top screenshot is pretty low resolution if you can post a better one. Pretty typical election season behavior.

"AITA for not wanting to forgive my parents who used to be amazing, because of one mistake they made in the past?".

OP intends to never speak to their parents again because they weren't immediately available in an emergency once. When they were an adult. OP was 18 but expected mommy and daddy to swoop in and save the day like they just fell off their bicycle and grazed their knee when they were 9. Reddit of course thinks this is an entirely reasonable response and not disgustingly immature and entitled.

While it fucking sucks to end up disabled due to a car crash at 18, and not have your parents there with you at the ER, it also isn't as if his parents could have foreseen such a thing happening, even more so when they already had a track record of being good people. It's an entirely misplaced aversion

I’ve been seeing this not just on Reddit, but also on TikTok recently:

There is this trend where apparently you can ”cancel” out someone‘s vote by lying to them telling you’re voting the same way as them, or you’re intentionally telling them the wrong date to vote, while contemplating whether or not you should tell them in the first place.

It’s been kicking up steam on Reddit, but it’s mostly creating a trend on TikTok where posts like these are becoming blatant than ever before.

It makes me wonder if they know their favorite candidate is losing, or they are trying to pull a Douglas Mackey as long as it’s the “right’ candidate in charge,

None of this makes sense. Postal ballots are a thing for people who can't get to the polls. You also can't vote on someone else's behalf because you can't vote more than once. I'm going to chalk this up to some kind of engagement-bait rather than an actual strategy to stop "the bad people" voting.

Well, it’s interesting you mentioned that, since Reddit Lies actually wrote exclusive articles to The Federalist regarding how Kamala Harris’ campaign is intentionally trying to brigade and astroturfed certain posts from their Discord server to Reddit boards to influence already popular subreddits to vote for them:

This is part of the psyop they are trying to construct because they are fucking desperate. "Don't take your elderly neighbors/family etc to vote because they might vote for le hecking nazis!" It's incredibly un-American and anti-Democracy TM but of course they won't see it that way because they are brainwashed npcs.
I am preaching to the choir

Theoretically someone could steal the mail-ins they mail out and send them but this isn't going to swing any elections. You could also be an absolute dick and steal a ballot from a relative.

I'd take a relative to vote if I knew they were voting for literal Hitler and I don't mean Trump.

Uh oh, my trans friend is currently overdosing, better let reddit know...

These both feel like they were written by a teenager who's trying to sound hardcore. Could just be arrested development, but I strongly suspect this is a pathological liar saying things they know redditors will respond to.

They're kinda dumb but they were 18, so I wouldn't call them an asshole if the accident was as serious as they claim it to be.

Recent and emerging drama regarding pizzacake and her terrible comics, and /r/bonehurtingjuice. Her nsfw patreon was taken down due to mass reporting or something. She has had enough and has made it clear that she is revolting.

Excellent writeup here: https://www.reddit.com/r/SubredditD.../frequent_rcomics_poster_pizzacake_allegedly/
r/bonehurtingjuice Mod Post:

Pizzacake posts are now bannedPizzacake posts are now banned
Due to disagreements with Pizzacake Comics she no longer wants her works to be posted to this subreddit with threat of legal action.
Rules regarding harrassment are still in effect, do not harrass Pizzacake regarding this decision. Meta posts and BHJ regarding this will be removed for related reasons. Users found violating this may face bans depending on severity of offenses.
If you have questions please instead use the comments below this post.
Context:

u/Pizzacakecomic is a frequent r/comics poster, and is somewhat controversial due to some past comics she had made which could be perceived as being misandrist. Additionally, many people seem to find her comics as being unfunny, especially on r/bonehurtingjuice, which has led to many of her comics being satirized and posted on said subreddit. Due to this, she has allegedly (according to a moderator of r/bonehurtingjuice, u/depurpleow ) threatened legal action and u/depurplecow banned posts satirizing her comics as a response.

Official response of Pizzacake (Under the r/bonehurtingjuice post):

I really tried to be civil with this mod but they made it impossible. I asked them to help curtail the assault and people following me to my profile and other sites from this subreddit (still happening today)
I had to resort to legal action to stop from people leaking my paid content and spamming my content everywhere, flooding search engines with sometimes hateful edits that have my signature on the bottom
For years, I've been a chill person and arguably more accepting to people editing my stuff than most folk. It was fun for a while, but when yall started stealing from me, sending threats and legit stalking, it went too far. Touch grass if you feel the need to harass others.
For those of you who just wanna have fun and be playful, sorry others ruined it. I tried to make it work, but I gotta think about my own mental health, too.
Edit: I literally asked this mod for help and he TOLD me to threaten legal action so here we are.

Official Mod Response to Pizzacake's Response:

"asked them to help curtail the assault and people following me to my profile and other sites from this subreddit (still happening today)"
When I asked for clarification regarding "hate" you were receiving from the subreddit, you made assertions that BHJ has a toxic culture:
"There's a very toxic mindset present. BHJ users seem to exclusively target content (without permission) for the sole purpose of attacking creators. I'm sure if other artists saw their work there and the constant insults and group attacks, they would make the same requests to disallow it."
"I don't want my content somewhere where people congretate to attack me. Recently, my patreon page was temporarily removed because of people mass reporting it. It was eventually reinstated, but I need to avoid hate groups and unfortunately this subreddit has become one. I wouldn't be surprised if in the future, users found posting on BHJ were automatically banned from , as artists do not want to be harassed and have their work abused on the same site they frequent."
I spent the next 2 hours scouring related comments, and had found no links to your patreon or other sites besides to your comic posts. The "attacks" that were not removed were primarily limited to "unfunny", "uncreative", or "unattractive art style" within the last month since the previous correspondence regarding the leaked comic "Manicure" (which from what I remember had been posted elsewhere on Reddit before being copied to BHJ). To my knowledge there has not been additional leaked content since that one.
Regarding users following you to your profile/other sites, I encountered no URL links to your Patreon within the last 2 months on BHJ, nor to any of your other sites. Kemono links are now blocked by automod. Based on the above information my assessment was that after the changes in the last month the problematic users you are facing are not likely from this subreddit itself, and I told you as much.
You had not mentioned search engines with hateful edits in the correspondence, or I would have informed you that while many of these were posted to BHJ, even ones that were removed within 30 minutes would often still find themselves posted elsewhere on the Internet (Facebook etc). If you did not want your name associated with edits you could have also mentioned that at the time.
Lastly, you had asked me to not inform the users of the reason for removing posts containing your content. I had said I will either be informing them of the reason, or you could take legal action and I will still be informing them of the reason. You chose the latter.
Responses to Mod Response:

In addition to this post, u/Pizzacakecomic also made her own post on her own account regarding her response to the allegation, which is currently locked. The vast majority of comments are extremely positive and defending Pizzacake, and as they often echos the same arguments previously shown in the r/bonehurtingjuice mod post, it will not be repeated.

God, I hate PizzaCake so much, it's unreal. Her comics being boring and unfunny, that's fine, whatever. But, she constantly plays victim after she drops a absolute dogshit take, and people criticize her in response. I swear, every few months, she has a meltdown, throws a temper tantrum, and storms off, for about two weeks, until she returns with another "quirky," "relatable" comic for her reddit simps to lap up, and for people funnier than her to edit, and that's ultimately what she's angry about: the edits of her comics are funnier than anything she's ever come up with. And threatening to sue a subreddit for making edits of your terrible comics? Give me a break; she has no real legal leg to stand on, it's just more hassle than it's worth for the mod to deal with. On top of that, she whines about people leaking her Patreon nudes, as if she didn't have any foresight before uploading them. If you're a content creator, with any sort of following, and you upload nude photos of yourself, no matter how pathetic and unattractive they are, yes, they will be spread around for free. Trisha Paytas is repulsive, but when I heard about her OnlyFans, you better believe I was looking that shit up out of morbid curiosity. Even the most mid woman who makes bad webcomics isn't safe from the eyes of the curious. You don't have to be Einstein to figure that out. Don't want it to happen? Don't post them in the first place.

In short, she's a whiny bitch with a massive ego, and I enjoy seeing her get booty blasted over meme edits
