I don't know if I'm realistic, jaded from all these histrionic babies or if I'm just ignorant to US politics but I can't help but laugh at all these reactions.

Trump couldn't even build a wall last time and now they're acting like he's about to open the concentration camps and execute everyone who's not a white straight man. I can't wait for a whole lot of fucking nothing to happen.

I think part of the issue is that these retards don't get that trump doesn't just get to unilaterally make decisions. They don't know enough about their own government structure to realize he can't just wake up and go "lol kill the trannies."

I'm enjoying hiw many unemployed neckbeards think that they can just immigrate elsewhere. One friend of a friend told me he was from a "war torn country" today. He's from Colorado.

Man I hadn't seriously been on reddit in 3 to 4 years but as soon as trump won, every single subreddit and I mean every single subreddit is melting down hard. Even though it's funny to farm salt, it makes me depressed that fucking gaming and film subreddits are posting about Trump. I remember reddit when they posted Mars rover memes and worshipped Elon as autist lord in 2018. Now every subreddit has a gay flag icon and posts about completely offtopic irrelevant nonsense.

I'm sorry if this comes off as a bit angry, but I can't fucking stand people who do nothing but complain about the other side being "too extreme" while taking the extreme stance on the other side. How out of touch do you have to be in order to not see that you are doing what you are complaining about. Remember all those years ago when the news cycle was glazing Contrapoints, someone who unironically made the argument that North Korea beats the west on transportation because they don't have ads in their train stations as a force of deradicalization because he opposed GamerGate. It's like extremism doesn't exist to these people unless it is on the "wrong side of history."

At least the salt is funny tho.

This is rich coming from a teacher practically insulated from reality itself by the most ridiculously powerful set of unions in the country. In a corporate job, you'd be fired for sperging out about politics all day instead of doing your job.

I am very confident (80%+) on the outcome (KH wins), and I bought in at 34% odds. My position will be worth $27k if she wins. I've played some poker and if somebody offers you those odds, you put in as much as you can afford to lose.

I work now in political data, but my most of my career was in digital advocacy, and I have an advanced degree in policy analysis. I also worked for a while as a local news reporter. I have a broader perspective than most hardcore politicos, and based on a host of observations I think the outcome will be pretty decisive, and I think it will take a day or two at most to become clear.

My reasons:
  • gender gap in the early voting
  • the collapse of the GOP field operation
  • Trump's MSG rally and the fallout in the PR community
These are not the only reasons why I think what I do, these are just some major elements that solidified it.

I make a reasonable salary but this is not a trivial amount of money for me. (I can afford to lose it, and if Trump wins frankly I will have bigger problems.) I've been sifting the data for weeks and things look very clear to me, and the more I thought about the more I thought I should put some money where my mouth was. I bought my first house during the pandemic and if this pays out, I can pay for a major upgrade. AMA

edit: clarified that my position will be worth $27k, not pay me $27k on top of my $10k.

edit2: clarified that the bullet points aren't my only reasons for thinking what I do. I admit that this is a subjective analysis - I am not trying to prove or convince anyone that I'm right. I just think this is likely enough that I'm willing to put some money on it. I'm aware that DT could still win!

edit3: yes I saw that poll. yes I saw that article about how polls are bad. no I don't care what nate silver thinks. no its not possible that I'm biased. maybe you are, but not me. inconceivable.

I know for a lot of trans people there is regret over not transitioning earlier. I personally am embracing my late-in-life transition.
I transitioned about 5 years ago in my 50s. Because I transitioned so late:
  • I was able to afford a lot of the medical care
  • the bottom surgery options improved (I was able to get a surgery that may not have been available a few years ago)
  • FFS surgeons upped their game
  • more surgeons are working on trans people
  • PCP providers are more aware of trans people's medical needs.
  • therapists who know their shit are more available.
  • medical care in general improved
  • insurance coverage improved
  • My marriage was strong enough to survive.
  • I had wonderful children.
  • Companies are at least pretending to care more about trans people
  • I was able to find community with the queer dating apps.
I am not discounting the issues that have confronted me. I am just very aware that even this late in my life it was the best time for me personally.
Could I? Should I have transitioned a few years earlier: sure but I didn't because I personally wasn't aware enough. I am just appreciative that I did figure it out when I did and not later.

I notice that the SoulSource dilators max out at an 1.5 inch diameter. Cis women's vaginas have more stretch than 1.5 inches.
Every time I go up by just a little bit it hurts.
I am looking at the various toys and such wondering if I will be able to use any of them.
I am wondering if I will have to girth check every play partner.

I am afraid of being hypnotized.
I am transgender.
Before I knew I was transgender, I wanted a hypnotist to help me be more comfortably feminine.
I developed this deep fear that hypnosis would work too well and I would end up as a very swishy over the top feminine guy
This fear was very scary.
Now I have transitioned, I would like to be hypnotized to help remove my fear of being feminine.
But now I fear that I am afraid of hypnosis in general. I have this fear of being out of control.
Yes I realize that hypnosis can’t make me do something that I don’t want. I am afraid of what I do want.
I talked with a hypnotist a few days ago. She does a single 5 hour session.
I don’t want to pay the money if I will be fighting the hypnosis.
So here is the question:
What can I do to reduce my fear?

So I have a loving wife who is very understanding (very amazing in a lot of ways).
Her one request is that I maintain the ability to have a hard-on so she can get her own sexual satisfaction.
I started off with DIY hormones: Pueraria Mirifica (cream and pills). I got good breast development for 2 years.
Now I have come out of the "closet" and I am on medical HRT. My very nice GP is willing to work with me on the E dosing. She is however inexperienced in transgender hormones.
My question for this community:
  1. Does anyone here have experience in maintaining erectile functionality?
  2. Any thoughts on how to approach the balance of estradial v. t-blockers?
For example, I am wondering if:
  • I should just take estradial and no t-blocker?
  • I should take a low t-blocker dosage?
  • Any other ideas?

The news is going around that 2200 people have already killed themselves since the election, im just gonna more or less copy what i said on the election thread:

As much as i despise redditors and leftards this creeps me out, thousands of people are so fucked in the head they just kill themselves because orange man bad.

Im gonna be honest someone needs to actually slam reddit for this, there are like hundreds of subreddits made exclusively to doompost and radicalize people, spewing bot garbage propaganda day in and day out with the only goal of making people hate republicans and half on their family/friends.
For example subreddit like politics, march against nazis, conservative terrorism, most state subreddits and hundreds more that are all EXACLTY about the same doomer shit, if you remove the name you literally cant differenciate them from each other.

No wonder a fuck ton of people are killing themselves, and reddit is not the only site doing this, but they are probably the worst in sheer volume.

I still remember how most posts in r/politics were about hating trump, even during the first half of the biden administration where he was a non entity. Whoever is ruling reddit right now is ruining peoples lives and no one cares.
