Has r/clevercomebacks always been political circlejerking karma-farming garbage?

Most of the shit there isn't remotely clever, and some of it isn't even a "comeback". It's just someone's opinion.
I swear to god most of the posts are just;

It appears that there's only one human mod of r/mapporn and quickly browsing his comment history he is shockingly not hopelessly lost in the sauce like the vast majority of other mods of large subs. Even posts in r/politicalcompassmemes.

I'm genuinely surprised they've allowed a sub with 5 million+ subscribers to run with just the one mod.

Mapporn is a horrible name taken out of context, maybe the administration conspicuously decided to leave the MAP sub unmoderated not knowing is not the same kind of MAPs they like.

As a Canadian, reading this story makes me so happy. It's good to know the government crackdown on diploma mills is actually working.

This guy should probably just suck it up and go to teachers college. At least that way he would be teaching actual Canadians.

I found some of the guys more recent posts and it seems like he is now massively anti-immigration.

Because that’s now a party line and an approved message. Anti-immigration sentiment on some level is becoming groupthink which is why these types are suddenly revealing how much they actually hate even looking at them.
