Not even stone age societies were this labor flexible knappers knapped and hunters hunted and fishers fished changing jobs if some sort of natural phenomenon happened like a big fish run or a big herd of animals came through or acorn mast happened, because all these took an immense amount of skill and if you fucked up your tribe died.

Nothing new under the sun here it's remarkable how the average redditor, even when you control for race, sex, class, nationality, IQ (from a test at least) etc remains one of the most clueless individuals around. It has to be centered in the fact that reddit, much like X, is a hive of the terminally online. These are people, regardless of anything else, that spend an intellect crippling amount of time reading the worthless opinions of other similar people. They start to think it really fucking matters. I'd say it's a dead end but that implies it went anywhere in the first place.
