tbf it seems like people will just arbitrarily switch between terms like 'Far Right', Alt Right, Dissident Right, Neo-Nazi, etc. depending on context.

If you're like an out of touch NPC lib whose software update is permanently stuck in 2016, then yeah Alt Right seems to be the go-to term. But if you're REALLY old then Neo-Nazi is the term despite the fact that 'Neo-Nazi' really only applies to the original American Nazi Party and like post-WW2 to early 2000s skinhead movements. But then if you're slightly sympathetic to 'based' people then the kind of neutral phrase 'Dissident Right' is more applicable?

Far Right is the more correct neutral term but y'know everyone has their own definition of 'Far Right'.

I mean AfD is classified as 'Far Right' despite having a Lesbian party leader who's married with a 'jeeta and Andrew Tate is a mixed race Muslim pedophile human trafficker, apparently that still qualifies as Far Right, lmao.

The weirdest thing about Shia Islam (which is what the Ayatollah of Iran belongs to) is that it's oddly... Liberal compared to Sunni (liberal to the point of 'that' in Iran, lmao). And in general there's a lot of weird cultural things that differ between the two. In Sunni, mourning the dead is haram (even if it's like your loved ones) but in Shia; you can sob all day at the funeral, totally fine. Weird religion.

iirc Shia is basically the Muslims' equivalent of Protestants while the 'Catholics' are Sunnis.

That's because there was a secret party switch, nobody really remembers when the conservatives were the arbiters of morals who want to censor anything fun (good) while the liberals were the ones championing true freedom of expression, coincidentally this was back when women leaned more conservative than men.

I'll probably be booted before many people read this(edit: back to sanity will stand!) but I realized I had the power to be the change I wanted to see.

There have been about 100,000 a bazillion bans (literally) in the last 6 months mostly for no reason, and every post that wasn't 100% aligned with a certain mod's worldview got deleted and the submitter banned & muted.

It's not right what happened here, and I've removed that mod. Be free, r/Texas.
