Have you ever watched some popular nu-Hollywood slop and asked youself "Why is this trash so popular? Who are the audience for it?"

Redditors. Redditors are.

Snark/lolcow subs are infinitely more insane than KF. They don’t seem to realize that you can laugh at someone without genuinely hating them, and the mods oftentimes just allow people to run wild and harass the subject of the sub without any repercussions.
Just want to add to this the reason why snark Reddit's are so much worse then here is on KF we have a strong self policing system. If someone threatens to do some insane shit to a lolcow users or a moderator will call it out and the user will be shamed into not doing it or their post will get deleted and them banned. This doesn't happen on snark subs.

I assure you you did not hold my baby, man trying desperately to sound normal.
I've seen this one multiple times and it never fails to crack me up. If you have somebody like this in your life, a non-family member who you trust greatly and has helped you in your life, 99.999999999% of the time they are not a fucking crossdressing eunuch sporting 5-o-clock shadow. I am not going to say "Wow, what if Carol, the nice old lady across the road, was ACTUALLY a degenerate pedophile? I truly should broaden my horizons!"

Appealing to complete idiots. Which I guess you'd have to be to fall for this shit, but still, it's such a poor attempt even for trannies that I can't help but laugh.

Redditor who is not from America manages to turn the two year anniversary of a school shooting that didn't happen in America into an excuse to sneed about America.

There's nothing more to say here. It's just so very Reddit.

It's hard to resist the urge to insert yourself into the story for some people. You know, make yourself apart of lolcow history. I would never do that because I like to stay away from insane people

I'm operating under the assumption OP's still beholden to troon koolaid so I'm assuming "she" is a skirt go spinny hon linebacker who abandoned his kids to play dressup with other mentally ill degenerates. Many such cases

A post made on /r/parenting today is now the second most-upvoted post on the subreddit:

It was immediately uncovered as fake, simply by checking OP's post history:

This has really intrigued me because there's no obvious reason (to me) why someone would bullshit like this. It's not engagement-bait, it's a fairly nice story about OP's kids and their friends hanging out at their house. There's no real reaction even possible to it other than "Oh, that's nice, I guess". So why make it up? What's OP gaining? Or for that matter, why upvote it?

But the plot thickens. If you look at the most upvoted posts on the subreddit, the the eighth most popular post on the subreddit is extremely similar. Not identical, but similar enough that they're essentially the same "narrative":

It's intriguing because I don't think the OP of the newer post is just a bot account. The rest of the activity on their account seems genuine (most of his other posts are thirstposting in porn subs). So why would they reword a post from two years ago and repost it?

Looks like another university is doing more AI Research

Comically obvious Chat GPT written post about the Trump assassination being faked to "humanize him" gets 43,000 upvotes on Reddit. Keep in mind a man with children was literally shot to death at that Butler rally. They are saying Trump had a man killed and then magically grazed Trump's ear to make him look good. Fucking insane. Q-Anon levels of batshit. 43k upvotes and multiple awards.

layout is honestly just incredible. Redditors don't even have the excuse of "ooh old people can't see AI". Something's very wrong with these people on a basic level.

As in, they excuse a villain if they see a justification in their actions, which appeals to their [redditor's] ideology?
The typical "Medial Literate" response is to identify with anything traditional morality would consider evil. Orcs, the bugs in Starship Troopers, etc. No action is inexcusable, except bigotry and the sexualization of women. This is why the Redditor's idea of true villainy are always caricatures of Trump and his supporters. There is no greater evil than the Orange Man.

This is even more idiotic than I expected. Although, why am I even surprised? It's leftists.

Prior to chat GPT and even reddit accounts being valuable enough to age and sell to astroturfers, there were still creative writer types all over different reddit subs seemingly doing it just for fun. Other people treat karma farming as a game just to make number go up. The unidan guy pretended to be an expert in every facet of every science just because he enjoyed redditors worshiping him as le heckin science man. If there's none of the more common explanations fit, there's always just "people are weird". Some people really do just go onto the Internet and tell lies with no motives beyond their own enjoyment.
