Everyday I see a story on AIO and similar thats either textbook Reddit red meat. Loony christian conservative parents terrorizing their children or the other person behaves normally then out of nowhere they sudden braindump and screams some racial or sexist slur and threatens to kill the OP. Conveniently I've very rarely or maybe never seen stories that go against the political grain of the subs or groups they favor behaving badly even though this is supposed to be a place for random people to just post situations in real time and you'd think a few would pop up due to sheer chance. Its always/almost always someone from a group reddit hates terrorizing the OP in the most absurdly stereotypical and blatant way.

I would say that maybe the audience is fake too or just trolls engaging in some weird ritual with each other. But I knew a person in RL who used to work herself into a froth over these types of groups.

It encapsulates reddit or maybe a better word would be distills it down to the binary thinking, herd mentality and approval seeking of the userbase. The more "enlightened" ones even believe their response might impact the world for the better. Many such cases.

You know how you can ask GPT bots if they would rather say the N-word or allow millions to be killed and it will say it's never acceptable to say the N-word? It's very obvious that the AI bots were trained on decades of reddit responses in which it's understood that literally any action is morally justified against an uppity mayo who dare say the dark man's word of power.

Redditors lost their biggest gotcha and this will cause some seething. No longer can they say “um yikes, found the r/wrongthink poster”. All they can do now is downvote and cry for their mods.

I doubt it will make Reddit less of an echo chamber though.

Reddit is on borrowed time, advertisers are fleeing like crazy due to all the political violence plus around 80% of the site is AI.

I also suspect within the next year or so Reddit will follow Pornhub's lead and ban amateur content which will probably kill the site.

The question is where will all the Reddit neckbeards and troons go? Twitter and 4chan are the heckin evil Nazi death sites so my guess is Bluesky.

Can you guys fucking archive the post when you see it? New users have an excuse but I see people that have join dates of 2-3 years ago not doing it. Reddit mods are retarded and will remove anything that goes against their narrative or if they see a thread going the way they don't want it to.
