How weak and pathetic do you have to be not to be able to move a mattress? I mean they can be cumbersome, but how WEAK do you have to be that it's totally impossible for you to move it to where it needs to be?

An update comment reveals this is a Novilla mattress. Even their thickest king size mattress is only 108 pounds shipping weight. If you can't drag that up a flight of stairs with relative ease, you'd better have a medical excuse.

I know it's been a storied meme for a decade as this point, but I'll go to bat for the soy golems this once. I actually tried Soylent when it was new. Spoiler alert, it tasted mediocre and made me feel sick. Anyway, those caps could legitimately shred your skin. They were so cheaply made the texture on the cap intended to improve grip actually acted like a hundred razor sharp plastic fins. My overall rating for the experience is 3/10.

Still, just use a fucking napkin or something to open it.

Man what the fuck? How heavy can that package be? 10kg? 20kg? You'd have to be legit physically disabled to not have a way of getting that box up the stairs. Do these people not feel ashamed posting this shit?

Heavier than i assumed but still, any able-bodied man should have no big problems in getting that shit up the stairs. You could even kinda push it up from the bottom if you're too shrimpy to carry it. Fucking weak.

I'm a weakass woman and if something is too heavy I simply try to half ass roll it up the stairs, then I can drag it to whatever room. It's also a mattress so it's gonna be a bit squishy. Getting that mattress up those stairs wouldn't even take 15 minutes for me.

Alternatively dude could have just bought a futon mat. It's not like he's bringing women home to fuck anyway. Since he's a Redditor we know he isn't having sex, and thank goodness he's too weak to grind a woman's skin.
 
Just put both hands on the bottom and push it up the stairs like Sisyphus if you can't actually lift it.

I’ve been self reflecting a lot lately and one thing I’ve come to realize is that I just don’t like “geek” culture that much anymore. The conspicuous consumerism, man children everywhere and constant culture war shitflinging from both sides has turned me off to it. And like you said, everything must be corporatized, sanitized and turned into slop to appeal to the lowest common denominator which apparently, the corporate suits think is a 35 year old redditor who lives in a room full of overpriced toys and supports all Current Thing causes without question.

It's just not the same anymore. I notice it even when i talk to like-minded people of my age about nerd stuff. The whole culture just got so thoroughly pozzed. As always, blame the normgroid, shun the normgroid. In the end not gatekeeping shit hard enough is what made basically any nerdy hobby/content shitty. That and the endless politicizing of everything, which is the worst result of not gatekeeping shit.

I can’t even escape this shit in my DND group. They keep sperging about politics more and more and the TDS has gotten pretty bad. We got all the DNC talking points about ICE being literally Hitler and a bunch of them even went to the no kings protest in my city. I’ve kept my mouth shut about politics and rolled my eyes but sooner or later they’ll figure out Im not down with the cause.

Like you, I’m fucking tired of these “geeks plus” where every hobby just has to be full of progressive activism. Like can I just enjoy a fantasy world without r/politics takes every 5 minutes? Reddit’s echo chamber did this.

And just like in pretty much every totalitarian country, the ruling party controls all the hobby clubs. The only difference is here, the "party" is an ideology that's funded by a loose network of shadowy NGO's funded by billionaires who are using our society as a petri dish for their experiments in social engineering. IDK why they chose nerds of all subcultures to push this on.

Our DM makes fantasy settings for escapism and I commend them for that. A lot of people, regardless of their beliefs do and it can make for some great gaming. But constant politisperging gets in the way of escapism.

I've come to the conclusion that this post is fake, using an empty cardboard box to create a story that would only be sympathetic to other faggy redditors, and was only made for precious Reddit karma.

I don't have any evidence to support this other than suspicion and finding it hard to believe that there is a person out there who is enough of a soyboy that they can't even lift what looks like a lightweight box. I know we're talking about redditors but even so.
