I distinctly remember AdviceAnimals being a mostly dead relic of the pre-ironic meme era, yet somehow it bounced right back during the 2024 election and is now more popular than ever. Can anyone explain to me why certain fashion subreddits get overrun by crossdressers? The degenerate reply guys follow them over from their dedicated cross dresser spaces to the ones they invade, and make them total cesspools. I'm fucking mortified by the DopamineDressing sub in particular, which is pretty much a carousel of constant horrors.

Go to fucking instagram if you want to see fashion, who in their right mind goes to a selfie subreddit other than to gawk at weirdos posting themselves.

Well, this kind of illustrates the point of my question. It never was a selfie sub (which I agree are ridiculous). It used to be for posting about maximalist fashion. I've seen OF accounts invade other fashion spaces, but I am genuinely confused on why specifically this particular sub has degenerated in this very specific way.

Either way, I apologize for having irritated you.

Anyway, so as to not come in here empty-handed I decided to check in or r/millennials since they're typically a reliable source of faggotry, and was surprised to see that they now have a (mostly empty) politics containment thread stickied at the top. Surprising because this place was heavily astroturfed during election season last year, to the point that I figured it had become another bunker for the janny cabal like PublicFreakout. Remind me to check it again during the next Glumpf shitstorm to how this rule holds up.

A subreddit about fashion will naturally attract people wanting to post selfies, fashion is a visual medium centered around human bodies.
