A post awhile back highlighted that account as most likely being a bot it has a ton of front page posts of similar political slop but originally seemed to be created as a NSFW fetish account then went dormant for a few years then randomly came back just posting non stop politisperg karma farm posts so it's most likely a bot ran by a jeet to karma farm.

It's funny how redditors constantly make fun of boomers on Facebook falling for AI and bot accounts for their news and worldview but they literally fall for the exact same thing just in the orange man bad flavour.

I check Reddit pretty frequently so I can post content here.

The problem is, as the months go by, Reddit is rapidly transforming from a zoo for retards into a dead wasteland where robots jerk each other's roboners off over how Republicans and Orange Man are literally going to kill everyone everywhere. Reddit has been garbage for at least ten years, but ever since AI I've been noticing that the quality of the garbage has dropped significantly.

Even as histrionic and deranged as places like r/complaints are, they're not funny or interesting because it's the same thing, over and over, forever. Most of the posters aren't human, and the ones that are are obviously Indians being paid by someone to post agitprop, and they do not do a good job.

There are still pockets of interesting lunacy here and there, but at this point I'd say 95% of the site is either bots trying to steer readers into becoming pedophiles who vote blue no matter who or bots trying to farm karma. The only people left are on niche subreddits. The smaller the better.

Anyway, I can't wrap my mind around this. Is there any monetary gain for being a janny? Forgive me, I divorced myself from all social media about 10 years ago and don't know how things work. Either way this is super creepy given how old this faggot is.

They do it for free. They sacrifice hours of their day, the limited time we're allotted to this earth, for a modicum of power that doesn't even have any real world consequences. It's worse than being a slave because at least slavery has the caveat of being involuntary.

It's about the power. That's why any petty tyrant does anything. Same reason Agnes from HOA sends you a letter when there's a leaf on your lawn. Same reason schoolyard bullies call you a fag in calladooty. Same reason MMO guild leaders do basically anything they do.

Weak, pathetic people seek out positions of power so they can abuse them, but they always do it behind screens or letters because they're cowards who are afraid of pushback. That's why the "bullies become cops so they can abuse people" theory is wrong. Cops are always only one wrong traffic stop away from having a weapon pulled on them, and bullies are cowards who never put themselves in danger. Real bullies become Reddit mods.

This is often what people don't understand about power dynamics or really just how the real world works. Their was some rapper from Atlanta ( flame flocks or some shit ) that said that even though he did traffic drugs and general niggatry he understand the police's job is dangerous and carries that daily. Even though he is exactly who they would profile ( and he even said that is exactly what he did ) he was still well adjusted enough to understand his actions and the real world consequences. But someone on reddit from an abusive family just cant. Hence they become mods there or on discord and are holier than thou. Their is literally nothing else you can enforce in life wit them.

99.9% of reddit are these faggots doing performative bullshit like this for literal feel good buttons on a screen and approval from the most out of touch mentally ill soyience trusting, Bill Nye and Nig Degrasse Tyson worshipping, "smartoon" watching manchildren in arrested development. This is an area that is all majority wealthy Asians too btw.

This is really the only reason I still have a chip on my shoulder about Reddit. I could care less about terminally online leftists circlejerking on the popular subs, the problem is the thousands of users gate-kept from hobby forums because of their ridiculously arbitrary rules. Internet forums being centralized on Reddit is bad enough but throw in irresponsible moderation/over-the-top ban evasion detection and you get a website that kills niche Internet communities.
 
There "were" some great things on Reddit. Now? No, I see people saying there is, but no. Maybe in the wikis of various subs but definitely not in posting or interacting. Let me elaborate: I recently got into fountain pens. The fountain pen subreddit has an entire drama going on about some "problematic vendor" etc etc etc etc. If a niche as niche as that has some woke drama problem, just think about how horrible the rest of the place is. Literally cannot post a single thing or make one comment about anything without someone feeling the need to chime in with a "redditism" (updoot, take my upvote, etc) or some political bullshit that isn't even tangentially related. If you can make PENS political, you have a fucking problem. And btw they are flat out psychos too because if you make one comment they don't like, they will find you and dox you or stalk everywhere you go and try to invade those spaces as well. It's really insane. I can't really even believe it still exists in its current form.

I think Reddit has good things, but I don't think it has good communities. Reddit is the kind of place that fosters toxic fandoms for absolutely everything. Even, as you say, fountain pens turn toxic there. There's no such thing as a good sub, no such thing as a good reddit community.

The good things are the equivalent of a wrapped candy bar floating in the sewer. The "better" subs have a higher candy to turd ratio, but they're still sewers. If you swim around in the shit water for long enough, you'll find candy. And because it's wrapped, it's probably safe to eat. But is the chance at getting a Snickers really worth hours of digging through sewage? Even if there are so many candy bars that you can just pluck them out of the stream, is it really worth eating candy out of a sewer no matter how easy it is to get?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's what most people have the hardest time dealing with. And Discord is the same, sometimes worse sometimes slightly better.

The hardest part to deal with is when you speak out against some ridiculous moderation rule and highly decorated, sparkly usernamed fags crawl out of the woodwork to shame you into being quiet or getting banned. Mod-enablers, basically.

Which is even funnier to read when it's the time of the Grand Kiwifarms Secret Santa again where kiwis doddles & crafts shits for the love, fun and spirit of Christmas AI is banned not because of "unfairness" but because the goal is to be handmade, fair enough. (We also have the kiwifarms comix jam anthology registration right now.)
Also AI is a potent tool that a lot of artists use to do cool stuff, I remember back in the days the mini drama that happened when graphic tablets came with the same arguments against it. If you feel threatened by it maybe you were a shit artist from the start.

Some other semi-notable drama in the Fountain pen subreddit, when Lamy (a prominent fountain pen company) releases Harry Potter pen collections and people share their purchases on the sub, they will always constantly bombarded with the typical anti JK wall of text reminding them if they support her she’s gonna kill all the trannys. Some people have gone to the point of boycotting the company because they dare make collaborations
