It's far easier to whine about ICE and get the updoots than voice a real nuanced opinion about it or anything. The whole site is a trainwreck that needs to have a wrecking ball taken to it.

Firstly, that's not how it worked. Even with assume 1/3rd of the US population voted for Trump, that doesn't mean they're evenly distributed. It's really funny to imagine this guy in, I dunno, a coffee shop in San Francisco or something, convinced that 33% of the rainbow haired ambiguously-gendered creatures there are secret Trump supporters. Or the reverse, showing up to a gun club in rural Texas and assuming 2/3rds of the people there wanted Kamala to win

Secondly, this person is making an observation that's somewhat accurate in abstract but is getting the complete wrong conclusion. I think he's going for "these people seem normal, but they actually voted for Trump." But you'd think he'd see that most people are normal and that 1/3 of them voted for Trump, and realize that voting for the candidate that won the popular vote isn't some fringe, crazy position and is actually statistically very normally. I guess that's overly optimistic of me

If you care about boardgames, you sadly have few options for following news. 1) boardgamegeek (wikipedia tier pozzed, even does the "we need money to survive" donation drives while their web devs live in cushy mansions.) 2) reddit.
Luckily, if you just read the OPs you get what you need. So apart from the odd libshit flareup (no more twitter links allowed, pushed by a bunch of people with zero posts in the sub beforehand) it is useable.
But then some guy leaves a popular review boardgame channel and they refuse to provide context in the OP because they expect you to know all their retarded little feuds. Turns out he cared for Charlie Kirk, got harassed, and decided to step back as his stance might damage his friend and colleague’s charity drive. (edit: reddit cant even properly explain what they're foaming at the mouth about, he supported ICE on social media)

Now for context, the original dice tower crew all knew each other from church, they keep their faith private like non-retards, and provide quality content. But since Sam (the guy that leaves) mentioned his faith as part of his decision to leave, redditards immediately had a reddit moment. Its always a beautiful moment when you see someone who on most topics is a sheep be downvoted for a rare insane take that they thought others would agree with because theyre so used to the echochamber. I saw someone be generally pro-abortion but against the concept of abortions for babies who will be born with extreme terminal illnesses because of 'the ableist implications' or whatever, with exactly 0 people agreeing (thankfully).

On one hand thats a buckwild take but i think i prefer it over all comments just being the common/correct tm opinion, so boring.

There's no bigger turn off to me taking a political movement seriously than using children's cartoon characters to express your take.
