I don't have a specific reddit post to share, but rather I'm quite MATI when how whenever I look up literally ANY book to read to know if it's worth sinking hours of my time into, all I can find are reddit threads which only seem to evaluate books on the political background of the author and how it influences the content. E.G.; Sometimes I want to know if certain conspiratorial books are worth my time since those can be a bit of a mixed bag in terms of where they get their sources and etc, but unless I do the digging myself, all I find are Reddit threads that seem more concerned if the book aligns with their hecking science rather than if it's legit or not. Or if I want to read some fiction, typically all I can find are people complaining about the hecking problematic scenes when I literally just want to know if the book is good. And sometimes the book itself has nothing to do with politics, but rather, Reddit has such a particular disdain for the author that I cannot tell whether their criticism is valid or not because I know they are incapable of viewing anything subjectively. Really my only solution is just to stop looking into books and instead come to my own conclusions as I go along, and while that's not a bad thing on its own, I do just miss having genuine discussion of literature. I like looking up stuff so that I can avoid biased opinions and being cornered in an echo-chamber, and yet there is nowhere to turn to BUT echo-chambers. I stopped using this thread because while the stuff here is entertaining it was starting to make me too mad in light of recent events, however even a hobby as innocent as fucking reading has been infected by the Reddit mind-virus and it's seemingly impossible to avoid it.

It'd be frustrating but not nearly as black-pilling if it wasn't for the fact that Reddit is huge and that there exists a subreddit for basically everything. No matter what I look up, one of the first results will be Reddit which is a toss up as to whether you'll get something helpful or insane brainrotted Reddit bullshit. It's inescapable, with how much discussion of anything on the internet gets funneled into that shithole

I was trying to figure out why kernal_task was eating up so much memory on my mac (first mistake: using a mac) and one of the first results was a reddit thread with this response

They are this rabbid because Sam pulled out the rug from under them?
More like how Tom allowed his friend to bow out rather than humiliate him publicly by firing him over his political opinion.
Scarily happy psychopathy on a guy who didn't want to wear faggot jerseys getting a career-ending injury.
In football fagtards are suspiciously silent when the muslim football players don't want to wear the rainbow armband. Ironically the evil white university schooled privileged men that like to go to the odd game speak up more about it.

If you got a book that's just you doing a stream of consciousness like these two are and you can make it look appealing you can do it with anything if you put effort in.
And to be fair, the bland cartoon cover trend (and hockey trend?) was actually popularised with a hetro smut book. Its so people can read them in public without it being obviously smut like a fabio-type cover (because theyre nasty).

Reddit is basically unusable now. Hurr ICE bad Trump Epstein files etc. Even if I was American I'd be sick of hearing about all this shit on repeat.

Facist kink? How are these people even real? :story: How does this even work? "Aryan Übermensch looking for cute Nazi princess for consensual book-burning" or what?

I, too, love me some ICE precum :smug:
In the sweltering heat of the Arizona desert, ICE Agent Jack Thompson, a towering figure at six foot one with a muscular frame, patrolled the border with a sense of duty and a hint of anticipation. His uniform hugged his physique, and his stern gaze was a testament to his unwavering commitment to his mission.

As he scanned the horizon, his eyes fell upon a figure struggling through the sand dunes. It was a woman, her curves accentuated by the tight-fitting clothes she wore. Her large breasts bounced with each step, and Jack felt a surge of desire course through his veins. He quickened his pace, his heart pounding in his chest.

"Halt!" Jack commanded, his voice echoing through the desert. The woman froze, her breath coming in ragged gasps. She turned to face him, her dark eyes meeting his with a mix of fear and curiosity.

"Who are you?" Jack demanded, his voice firm but tinged with a hint of lust.

"I... I am Maria," she stammered, her voice soft and melodic. "I am just trying to find a better life for my family."

Jack's eyes roamed over her body, taking in every curve and contour. He felt a primal urge to claim her, to make her his own. He stepped closer, his presence dominating the space between them.

"Maria," he said, his voice low and seductive, "you are a beautiful woman. I can't help but admire your... assets."

Maria's cheeks flushed, and she looked down, her long lashes casting shadows on her cheeks. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Jack reached out, his hand cupping her breast, feeling its weight and softness. Maria gasped, her eyes widening with surprise and desire. She leaned into his touch, her body betraying her initial resistance.

"Jack," she breathed, her voice filled with longing. "What are you doing to me?"

Jack smiled, a predatory grin that promised both pleasure and pain. "I'm giving you what you want, Maria," he said, his voice a low growl. "I'm giving you a taste of the power that comes with being mine."

As they stood there, the desert winds whispering around them, Jack and Maria were consumed by a passion that transcended their differences. In that moment, they were not just an ICE agent and an illegal immigrant; they were two souls bound by desire and lust.

It's the culmination of nearly 30 years of millennials and zoomers being raised on escapism and capeshit. Their reality is filtered through their favourite slop media and vice versa.
There's been a lot of talk for a while about how social media and the 24/7 news is bad for people. We're not meant to consume new stories at the rate we are experiencing them. But I don't think enough is being said about how this also applies to the amount of fiction people are consuming. In the 80s and 90s it was understood that people who were plopped on their fatasses in front of the TV were wasting their lives. But now that's not really discussed anymore, despite there being approximately a million times more ways to get sucked into fictional worlds on any number of screens.

There are people who have spent more time bonding with the tiny people in their TVs than real people in real life, and it shows

There was a popular post that was on r/all and it was one of Null's tweets showcasing something from the Epstein files. Jannies deleted it saying it was misinformation. The real reason is probably because someone reposted Null.
I repoosted this on X because someone sent it to me and I believed someone on my own forum actually found this themselves and didn't just grab fake bullshit off /pol/, but I guess you dumb niggers literally just send me fake bullshit your stupid asses stole off of /pol/ now. Is this email actually in the Epstein documents? It's going viral and I'm going to have to post a correction if it's just fake.

They really think all Republicans are backwoods rednecks with ripped up and dirty wifebeaters, don't they? I've met real dressed up, respectable-looking, office working job republicans lol. (Also it just shows their anti-white, anti-working class/poor, anti-rural bias tbh)
Because the Republican Party is a coalition between the blue collar. Middle class and the professional. White collar class who actually does work. It is a coalition of the productive members of society against the parasites.

It's been unusable for like a fucking decade now, arguably even longer than that. Of all the websites that were affected by TDS, Reddit's case is terminal and can only be saved by pulling the plug on it.

We need to prevent the rats from abandoning ship like they did Tumblr: using Reddit is a MAID qualification, regardless of actual Canadian citizenship.
That's something i forgot to take into consideration... I would love reddit to be shutdown, but that will just lead to them flooding other websites like with Tumblr. BlueSky is a great containment site though considering it's just pre-Musk twitter with 20x more CP spam, so there's not much value in actually visiting it. Best case scenario would be them fleeing to the pedo containment site en masse and other websites finally cracking down on the redditor menace through any means necessary.

Actually, I always see people talk about Tumblr as if it's fully abandoned but a lot of people still actively use it. Sure, a majority of the user base is those who joined in the past, but there's a lot of blogs that have been started post-NSFW ban.

if there was some Reddit massacre that nerfed a majority of their user base, some people will still continue to use it just out of habit. The only way people would stop using Reddit is if the whole website got nuked permanently, I think.

If current owners wanted to sell Reddit, they would definitely have to do what Tumblr did and nerf a lot of degeneracy (which is what started the full NSFW apocalypse in the first place, along with how many minors posted NSFW and ED stuff that got it taken off the Apple and Google Play store).

Reddit users would definitely have a shit fest over nsfw subs being deleted, but they'd still probably use the website like Tumblr people did (and Reddit users did after the "protests" they did over third party access).

But like Tumblr, anyone who buys it would lose money in it immediately lol. Yahoo bought Tumblr for $1 billion USD in 2017. They sold it for less than $3 million in 2019.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is people will still use Reddit because they're Reddit-brained. Lol

The endless list of alternatives that have emerged and collapsed is proof enough that people won't abandon Reddit no matter how much shit Spez forces them to eat.

They'll all come crawling in the end.
