Soldiers don't wear their medals when not in dress uniform. Having shiny medals clinking when you're trying to do soldier things doesn't work out well. The great grandfather probably bought them at gun shows decades ago.
ESPECIALLY with how in vogue it was to collect Nazi memorabelia up until about the eighties or so even for those who were not themselves Nazis or Nazi adjacent.

The Reddit Charlie Kirk neck memes are simply rehashed safe edgy versions of the Floyd memes RW people posted in 2020. It's yet another example of them taking something the right did years before them and redoing it just poorly. Unlike the Floyd memes the Kirk ones are largely uncreative and forced. There is no real subtlety to them most come off as just "HAHA THIS PERSON I DISLIKED DIED I'M GLAD THEY DIED".
On other platforms the main charlie kirk memes are using that 'we are charlie kirk' song in a humerous way and 'kirkified' pictures with his face ai fused with other celebs, which feels similar to the 'i cant breath/sneed/whatever' photoshops, although its difficult for me to tell wether its supposed to be LW, RW or neutral.

Im leaning neutral, because LW hates the ai stuff and its mostly teen boys just trying to be edgy/funny/trend hopping without actually particularly disliking the guy. With the redditor memes specifically its usually pretty clear theyre sitting behind their screen like this tho

Not to mention hat Floyd was a career criminal, and Kirk was a husband and father with very mainstream right-wing opinions.

The whole thing with the Floyd memes, at least from what I remember, was not really about mocking Floyd in isolation, but the fact this Fentanyl-using criminal was being venerated as some sort of saint who was killed for absolutely no reason. The left picked out an absolutely terrible martyr so of course people are gonna make fun of that- it's retarded and laughable. The "worst" thing that got any real traction in the realm of Floyd memes was "this guy is a dipshit who brought his death upon himself," and considering he was a druggie who held a pregnant woman at gunpoint, yeah, this is the natural endpoint of a niggerly lifestyle like that. The only reason world is not objectively better with him gone is because if he had lived, maybe we wouldn't have seen millions of dollars in property damage from the riots on his behalf.

The Kirk "memes" like you said are really just "this guy I hate is dead lololol." There's no substance to it beyond 'it's good and funny when conservatives die.' Do they even qualify at memes at that point, or is it just these subhumans confessing how they truly feel about any and all Republicans, even if their whole schtick is debating people and trying to come to a mutual understanding with words as opposed to violence or deplatforming?

This was the end goal from the moment those "punch a Nazi!" And "it's always morally acceptable to kill Nazis" posts started cropping up years ago. "Nazis deserve violence" is an extremely defensible position to normies (mainly since the education system and media have spent decades painting the Nazi part as incompetent-but-also-somehow-incredibly-dangerous two-dimensional supervillains.) Once they swalled that message, these lunatics spent the better part of a decade convincing themselves- and believing it with absolute sincerety- that anyone who holds even a slightly conservative opinion (like saying there are two genders) is literally a Nazi. And since it's morally okay to harm Nazis, and Charlie Kirk fell into their extremely wide view of what a Nazi is, then him dying is objectively good and would be cheered and celebrated, right?

Man, I hate r*dditors (:_(

It's somewhat nuanced but most Kirkified pictures/memes are gonna be neutral to right-wing. It's something you'll know when you see it really.

Back in the '60s some asshole made replica SS stamps to use on guns to make them "100% authentic SS marked guns!". The stamp wasn't even the markings the SS used but no one knew that. You'll see them turn up on Gunbroker and gun shows from time to time. If anyone here wants to collect SS stuff, don't. It's all fake. That SS knife your grandpappy took off the SS grenadier he killed on D-Day? He paid $10 for that in the '70s at a gun show.

Oh trust me, I know.

I haven’t been on Reddit in a long time. Let’s see what the r/History subreddit is doing.

Off to a great start. Ok, let’s find the most recent post.

So, archeologists discover something that historians (and the general public) have known for many centuries? This a cool discovery, since it is the first piece of physical evidence that we have found that proves statements from primary sources, which specify that Carthaginians did, in fact, use elephants for war. However, it does not present a new or revolutionary view on Carthaginian society, besides affirming that they were wealthy and had access to traders and trainers who specialized in elephants. Overall, a pretty mundane post.

Yep. It is an established fact. Again, a nothingburger that proves the validity and usefulness of primary sources.

Uploader replaced “killed” with “hurt” to appease the algorithm. It’s a great psychoanalysis of Reddit logic regardless. These are people that don’t truly understand the nature of power after years of being infantilized and indoctrinated.

America would still be under British rule if these theater kids were the only revolutionaries. One British volley at the fields of Lexington and they’d scatter and cry “WHY ARE YOU USING REAL MUSKETBALLS?! You just did a heckin murder!”.
I waited long enough to post that I forgot about this video, and was concerned it would be redundant, so I'm glad searching "disney morality" worked; here's the preservetube of Disney Morality Is Getting Millennials Hurt.

Do you guys remember that short period after the song "try that in a small town" came out in mid 2023 when all the Redditors were fantasizing about going to small rural red towns and killing people there? I think it was covered in this thread many pages back. Same people calling ICE fascist vigilantes btw. A large percentage of the frequent posters on Reddit would gladly gun down people they considered to be ignorant rednecks if they could.
Northern urbanite and Canadian hatred of American Southerners summed up perfectly. The reality is they'd buckle and start sobbing immediately if those rural southerners retaliated. They're a bunch of cowards who would try and sucker punch someone or scream "FASCIST!" and then run off; these people will behave like this because among other reasons an angry white man in his 20's is the scariest thing in the world.

Which was actually crazy because Breonna Taylor was right there at the same time, but even most black men dgaf about black women and she didnt get a viral video with a catchphrase so too difficult to get anything started ig.

Like she got a little bit of attention during the blm wave, but it was miniscule compared to everything that Floyd got despite her being a significantly more logical example for the cause.

Taylor had a corpse in the trunk of her car linked to the drug operation she conducted with her partner if memory serves; very few people have deadly interactions with police in which they are pure as the driven snow. I say this as a person who had a relative killed by a cop.

That r/okbuddyrosalyn subreddit (which has been about Calvin and Hobbes funposting), has been focusing on some drama involving "transgender" recently. Based on what I saw, I think what happened was that there is a rule against sexual content of minor characters, and some mod (rightly) thought "transgender" edits of the comics are sexual-related, but was opposed by pretty much everyone else who posts there. So there's a bunch of "transgender" "jokes" there now. Seems to be an increase of loony left "memes" there too.

tl;dr: The subreddit that used to be more about funposting is now more about "social justice" bullshit. A microcosm of Reddit history.

I guess every country in the world is fascist then

The Redditor’s assumption that voter I.D. is inherently fascist is indeed retarded, and it entirely destroys a valid argument concerning its implementation.

This is going to be a hot take, but I want to make a genuine argument that will give some credence to the Reddit sperg. However, its conclusion will likely go against his entire dogma of morality or governance. Here it is:

The implementation of voter I.D. is authoritarian, not fascist. It does not carry the characteristics of corporatism, racial identity, or “spiritual nationality.” Instead, it signifies a society that is losing faith in itself and resorting to extreme measures for self-preservation. “Reservationist,” you may ask, “why is it even authoritarian? We should have had voter I.D. decades ago, and we are now doing it to prevent illegals from voting. Are you saying it’s a bad thing?” Well, let’s tackle this with tact. The crux of implementing this policy is that it invests more power in the government to regulate the election process and mitigate the immigration problem. By delineating the duty of maintaining a secure election to the government, the people are endorsing the erection of a more powerful political body. Now, the moral question behind voter I.D. is also addressed by mentioning the reason for this policy existing in the first place. Illegal immigration is such a problem now that it has massively changed the nation’s racial, religious, and political demographics, which greatly changes voting trends. Moreover, under the incompetency of the previous administration, illegals were allowed to vote enmasse, often in support of those who allowed them to enter the country, the Democratic Party. As a result, our election system has been completely jeopardized by foreign actors who vote for the candidates that promise them open borders and free stuff. In any secure nation, where illegals aren’t allowed to vote and are immediately deported, the very concepts of voter fraud and “quasi-legal” vote rigging would be ludicrous. Such things are only prevalent in shithole countries where the law isn’t followed. Unfortunately, the United States has reached that stage of decay: Years of mismanagement and corruption have completely eroded the people’s confidence in their system of governance; now, they demand that the government, under a new regime, take greater control of the election system to guarantee a better outcome. The fact that this republic has to resort to such measures to negate the anarchy that was unleashed upon us is horrid. We should have never needed voter I.D. if we lived in a sane world, but we are not. Circumstantially, I believe that voter I.D. is not only moral and good, but also necessary. In this age of anarchic evil - wherein judges release criminals into the public, corporations encourage homosexuality and sexual perversion, doctors recommend the mutilation of children, and adults abandon their civilization for momentary wealth or gratification - an authoritarian regime is the natural conclusion of societal woes.

This is for you, Redditor: We do not live in a secure nation anymore because of your ilk and what you have done through policy and lawfare. We are taking back control and keeping it under the boot of our government. You created this monster; try to stop it.
