I guess every country in the world is fascist then

The Redditor’s assumption that voter I.D. is inherently fascist is indeed retarded, and it entirely destroys a valid argument concerning its implementation.
This is going to be a hot take, but I want to make a genuine argument that will give some credence to the Reddit sperg. However, its conclusion will likely go against his entire dogma of morality or governance. Here it is:
The implementation of voter I.D. is authoritarian, not fascist. It does not carry the characteristics of corporatism, racial identity, or “spiritual nationality.” Instead, it signifies a society that is losing faith in itself and resorting to extreme measures for self-preservation. “Reservationist,” you may ask, “why is it even authoritarian? We should have had voter I.D. decades ago, and we are now doing it to prevent illegals from voting. Are you saying it’s a bad thing?” Well, let’s tackle this with tact. The crux of implementing this policy is that it invests more power in the government to regulate the election process and mitigate the immigration problem. By delineating the duty of maintaining a secure election to the government, the people are endorsing the erection of a more powerful political body. Now, the moral question behind voter I.D. is also addressed by mentioning the reason for this policy existing in the first place. Illegal immigration is such a problem now that it has massively changed the nation’s racial, religious, and political demographics, which greatly changes voting trends. Moreover, under the incompetency of the previous administration, illegals were allowed to vote enmasse, often in support of those who allowed them to enter the country, the Democratic Party. As a result, our election system has been completely jeopardized by foreign actors who vote for the candidates that promise them open borders and free stuff. In any secure nation, where illegals aren’t allowed to vote and are immediately deported, the very concepts of voter fraud and “quasi-legal” vote rigging would be ludicrous. Such things are only prevalent in shithole countries where the law isn’t followed. Unfortunately, the United States has reached that stage of decay: Years of mismanagement and corruption have completely eroded the people’s confidence in their system of governance; now, they demand that the government, under a new regime, take greater control of the election system to guarantee a better outcome. The fact that this republic has to resort to such measures to negate the anarchy that was unleashed upon us is horrid. We should have never needed voter I.D. if we lived in a sane world, but we are not. Circumstantially, I believe that voter I.D. is not only moral and good, but also necessary. In this age of anarchic evil - wherein judges release criminals into the public, corporations encourage homosexuality and sexual perversion, doctors recommend the mutilation of children, and adults abandon their civilization for momentary wealth or gratification - an authoritarian regime is the natural conclusion of societal woes.
This is for you, Redditor: We do not live in a secure nation anymore because of your ilk and what you have done through policy and lawfare. We are taking back control and keeping it under the boot of our government. You created this monster; try to stop it.
