Pragmata is an upcoming sci-fi action-adventure game from Capcom focused on defeating AI bots by shooting and hacking your way through a cold, eerie moon base. It features an astronaut named Hugh and an android named Diana, who has become the target of some very disturbing drama on Reddit.
Earlier today, Reddit banned the r/Pragmata_ subreddit for violating Rule 4, which prohibits sharing “sexual, abusive, or suggestive content involving minors.” The subreddit had been overrun with lewd artwork of the childlike android, which became the main focus of the community until February 18th when it was shut down.
Pragmata community calls out pedophilia on subreddit dedicated to Diana
Drama had been unfolding over the past few months within the Pragmata fanbase, originating in the r/Pragmata subreddit. What was once a community expressing excitement over the game’s concept, visuals, emotional trailer, and gameplay had become a highly sexualized shrine dedicated to Diana, who is child-like in her appearance, mannerisms, and voice.
Her true age is never specified, but even Capcom states she “has the appearance of a young girl” as an official description of the character. Whether she is a human child or not, it’s clear that she is meant to represent someone around seven years old intentionally as part of the plot, which made the ongoing lewd fan art of Diana too much for some in the Pragmata community.
Last month, after noticing a ton of inappropriate Diana posts, moderators attempted to set up some new rules in the r/Pragmata subreddit:
As many of you have seen, recent discussions in this subreddit have crossed the line into harassment and inappropriate content.
Effective immediately, the following rule is being enforced:
- Any sexualised comments, jokes, or content involving Diana will be removed.
- Users who post sexualised content involving Diana will be permanently banned.
Diana is portrayed as a child character. Sexualisation of minors is not allowed under any circumstances.
One moderator, JoeZocktGames, eventually stepped down from their role on the r/Pragmata subreddit, stating it was due to “pedo s***.” The ongoing Diana posts resulted in two more subreddits being formed:
- r/PragmataSFW ( “an attempt at building up a sub that isn’t plastered with pedophile dogwhistles”)
- r/Pragmata_ (the Diana-obsessed cult)
As the r/Pragmata_ subreddit continued to post disturbing fan art of the child character, gamers all around Reddit caught wind of the activities and grew very concerned with the normalization of pedophilia in the community.
Eventually, Reddit banned the subreddit, stating it was due to breaking Rule 4, which does not allow “sexual” or “suggestive” content featuring a minor. While this was seen as a win for most gamers, there are still some out there who don’t see any issue with sexualizing a childlike character since they’re not real.
For those normal Pragmata fans, the game is coming in April 2026.
