Reddit hivemind karma farming is real, although I mean even allegedly normal "people who use reddit" casual posters who legitimately ask for advice or talk about their lives. They're still a very specific type of dysfunctional, trashy people.

Any other individuals talk about other problems in a different manner, if that makes any sense.

karma system is one part, moderation is the other
if you express non approved opinions on reddit you get jannied. the people left on reddit are those who only hold approved opinions.

It's not just people sharing opinions. Even if a person on Reddit simply talks about their marriage, for example, it's immediately clear no normal person would say such things. Like a blend of thinly veiled passive aggression, performative positivity and HR speak. No matter if it's an active user or a random throwaway account

The most ardent socialists I've ever known (And I knew quite a few growing up in Portland) were either chronically unemployed and paid no taxes or worked minimum wage kitchen jobs where they just wanted anything better to be handed out to them. It was never ever people with successful shops, people with real careers making money or well adjusted people in general. Always misfits. Always full of resentment at normal people.

This is absolutely true; it doesn't matter if it's a subreddit talking about college sports or movies or anything nonpolitical, you can't escape the Reddit mindset. For example, relationship subreddits will have a question like, "I'm 9 months pregnant, and my husband refuses to clean the dishes," and all of the top upvoted replies will be people telling the woman to divorce her husband and abort their baby, or movie subreddits will have a clip from a movie, like one example I saw of 1970s Superman, and all of the replies will be either gooners talking about how they think the female characters are hot or Redditors making it about Donald Trump and US politics. It's insane; Redditors are a different breed of human.

And it's not even just non-approved opinions that get your posts removed. Before I was banned from Reddit (Allah forgive me for using Reddit), almost every post I made was auto-removed for violating some vague rule or not having enough karma, and the few times my posts weren't auto-removed, they would get manually removed for violating some vague, selectively enforced rule. It's like you can't even start a thread unless you are a 100k karma power mod that moderates 100 different subreddits and has left-wing politics; you literally aren't allowed to post threads in subreddits if you are a pleb that only casually uses Reddit.

Loads of college socialists end up conservative "hands off my money government" fags the moment they get their first serious job. High taxes aren't as fun when you're the one working half the year for the government. Those missfits cope that they are getting held down by the man.
 
So I like to look at the f1 reddit from time to time. Of course it’s filled with fat troons that posted to Twitter that they wouldn’t allow links to Twitter cause “musk is a nazi.” Well turns out that the person that started that protest in the f1 subreddit wasn’t even a f1 fan m but I digress.

These fags are now upset because a 21 year old French driver got upset after another driver crashed into him and ruined his race. The one that caused the crash is considered the new golden boy in the sport. So of course these fags have to make up some retarded shit about the other driver

Sometimes I wonder if this is some sort of gayop by BP-ExxonMobil-Aramco inc. in order to turn off regular Americans from supporting pedestrian infrastructure.

I, for one, am incredibly autistic and love living in a walkable/bikeable place (inb4 bugperson) and am super in-favor of rail developments, but by being in association with these types of people I'm completely turned off. Liberals have this concept of "intersectionality," whereby two normally disjoint communities are able to unite to fight against some common enemy
(and if you are a rare individual at the intersection of many communities, say, by being black and gay, you become a powerful symbol of unity)
, but I am beginning to think that this is beginning to have an exclusionary effect as well: if all of the supporters of walkable communities are trans-bibox,, then walkability as a whole BECOMES a trans-biboc issue in a way, because transportation access must've become a point of intersection for them.. The effect of this is that they push away the white God-fearing Americans whose tax money and voting power might actually be put towards a cause that benefits the common good (in my opinion), therefore nothing changes. We see this phenomenon a LOT in lower-class or working-class issues like healthcare and the like because intersectional radicals tend to be the ones who scream the loudest about these types of things, thereby pushing away those who don't believe men can become women.

TLDR: this redditor is doing more damage to xis cause than xe even knows.....

I actually agree. I've lived in the best of both worlds and you know what, I do prefer to have walkable/bikable locations only so that I don't need to constantly worry about car maintenance and gas price fluctuations and all that jazz. I don't know why pedestrian-friendly infrastructure is inherently cringe, it is how society lived for centuries until only the past 100 years or so. But at the moment, if I lose my car, I'm completely fucked, and I think that's a fair thing to be frustrated by. Redditor bugmen just do an extremely good job at presenting it as some weird hivemind thing. And yet what they always fail to understand is that pedestrian friendly infrastructure really does rely heavily on high trust society... despite their love supporting walking spaces and buses and etc, they don't see anything wrong with said walking spaces being filled up with the homeless and killer negroes. Despite my enjoyment of public transport, even if it was an option, I still would rather drive when considering the current conditions they are in (that Redditor-types helped bring to fruition mind you).
