I went to the Star Trek sub today and they were all pointing guns (phasers) at each other acting like any one of them could be hating on the new Trek series because Conservative shills are telling them to hate it and actually it's good and they JUST HATE GAY PEOPLE AAAAAHHHHHH
I've literally never seen that. People don't like it because the show is bad
r/startrek is a fucking shithole. The consensus there seems to be anything Star Trek is fantastic, unless it's older Star Trek that's problematic by modern woke standards. I've got a fairly high tolerance for woke shit and watched the first couple of episodes of Starfleet Academy with an open mind, but it's straight up atrocious. I didn't dislike the Jem'Hadar first officer because the actress is a nigger and woman - I hate the character because of the comically bad acting and dialogue. Probably the only reedeming quality of the show is Robert Picardo returning as the Doctor.
They don't really devolve, they're always like that. It's just that over time all the sane people realize the frequent posters and mods aren't being ironic.
Most of these circlejerk subreddits get created when users on the main sub get triggered by some bullshit (usually a political take slightly right of Mao) and run to create a safe space to strawman about the "nazis" and "incels" who have taken over the main sub.
These same subs undergo this cycle themselves whenever the inevitable purity spiral hits. There's a chain of something like four different splinter vegan circlejerk subs and two or three movie ones, for example.
In addition, wouldn't the people that make fun of the said subject for fun eventually get bored of it, leaving it with people who genuinely believe in the said circlerjerk behavior?
The Whites unnaturally sprung up from the creations of Yakub. We are not creatures of the womb but instead of advanced Kang sciences. That is why despite being fewer in number, dumber, incapable in Kang and Kween magicks the perfidious White is dominant in all things.
Recently, I have been stalking the Patty Locke thread (good read btw), and in one of the posts, one of the users mentioned a lil subreddit called "seed_irl" which the named lolcow has been posting on.
So I went to check the subreddit itself, and... oh, heavens.
For those who are unaware, seed_irl is a community subreddit for a fictional universe named "Human Domestication Guide" (yes, you read that right), and to TL;DR what's about: it's basically a collection of femtrans smut fanfiction where humans get captured and colonized by the "12 feet dommy mommy anthropormorphic alien plants" named the Affini, and they also get domesticated via drug injection and turned into pets called the Floret, where ALL of their needs are taken care off (a.k.a they don't have to hold a job). Also, this domestication proccess forces the user to receive a miraculous 1-week HRT treatment that reverses puberty, and apparently the more disabilities a pet has (like if they're autistic, or have sensory overload or whatever), the more appealing they are in the eyes of these aliens.
... it's a whole can of worms, I'm not bothering explaining everything, but you can CLEARLY tell what kind of people who would like such a thing.
I'd like to share some of the funny highlights:
(nothing TOO graphic, but beware of some Islamic Content)
If you're still confused on what the exact type of people we're dealing, then these two images should clear things up
And last but not least, remember! While the entire premise of the fanfiction is about humans losing their rights and becoming useless unfulfilled sex pets...
just... don't compare it to the S word. Only filthy capitalists do that!
After seeing how unhinged some of these people are, I couldn't help but find the whole HDG community to be interesting to watch, and it's mainly for two reasons:
1- What I have shared is just the subreddit, there's still the fanfics, their official discord server, their tumblr community, twitter... there's so much untapped milk potential within this community that I find it so cruel that we only got an awful locked thread about it, and nothing more.
I even thought of creating the HDG community watch myself, but I'm still busy, breaking my head (and procrastinating) in writing the Know Your Meme thread (it will come out soon enough I swear!).
2- As far as I can tell, this has been one of the few trans communities that have been despised and even banned by the other LGBT subreddits.
"I had to save a baby from an angry man trying to kill it and it's mother. He attacked me and I scraped my knee" is quite the story to be telling.. If this is true where the fuck do they live and what colour are the people around them?

I hate modern Trek people so damn much. Classic Trek nerds always had a chip on their shoulder. They thought themselves smarter than everyone else because they watched Star Trek (despite Star trek being a normalfag TV show from the start). Modern trek fans are even worse because everyone involved is subversive. They don't even know what Star trek is any more and keep trying to make weird spin offs no one wants with diverse casts. Then netflix puts it on auto play and claims record numbers because someone saw 30 seconds of the opening episode when they went for a leak.
The animation category at the Oscars is pretty meaningless anyway. Academy members have admitted to rarely even watching all the nominated films. The fact that they didn’t just hand it to the latest Disney/Pixar slop by default like they usually do says a lot about the cultural relevance of KPDH.
The terrifying realization that at any point during your day, the other drivers on the road, the other people you see in the grocery store, your neighbors and coworkers, anybody you interact with, could be a redditor.
I saw a car at a gas station that had a bunch of reddit decals including something along the lines of "old man who uses reddit" can't remember what it said exactly but he was bragging he's a boomer that uses reddit lmao had the dumb mascot all over his car too. I wanted to take a pic of it so bad but he drove off I laughed my ass off in my car it was so funny.
I wanted to ask but why to certain conservative or even right wingers even bother with Reddit? As you can tell I’m a Warhammer fan and there has been this trend ever since drama surrounding lore and female adeptus custodes came in. The main sub did Reddit things and banned dissenters so an another sub called Horus galaxy was made with the idea of allowing more unsavory opinions and discussion. It became a sort of right wing boogey man to 40k Redditors but it was taken down with the usual brigading tactics get the mods banned and the sub taken down. Then another sub called eye of terror was made but it was killed quicker and they have made yet another one that is surely dead in a month.
All I ask is why do right wing Redditors even bother? Is 4chan too scary? Twitter too obtuse? It’s clear most Reddit users will do everything in their power to ensure subs they don’t like are taken down.

Convenience is my guess. Reddit has a community for everything: games, memes, news, videos, porn, etc. People get used to the comfort and convenience of the walled garden.
I could give you a list of failed alternatives that emerged after Reddit banned a community, but the bottom line is that redditors lack commitment. They bitch and moan about how censorious Reddit is, but they will continue using the platform.

The entire Oscars is fairly meaningless and only serves as an exercise in autofellatio for the film industry. The saddest part is getting upset about it or even caring at all.

That's worse than unironically having an Info Wars sticker on your truck.
Also just wanna point out the reason someone in his position would be so invested in something like Reddit and would have shit like "Old man who uses reddit" is because he has no friends his own age in real life.

People like Reddit's format. They don't want to use social media and there's no other options. The old forums are pretty much dead or as bad as Reddit. Dakkadakka, Warseer don't have the traffic any more. Some of it is refusing to give into the libshits and fighting for a space they feel they deserve.

I mean I get it to an extent.
Prior to 2014 Reddit really was "The front page of the internet", and for the most part was a pretty solid place for internet people.
At this point though if you're a Reddit right winger, you're just as bad as every other shitlib on there.
You're willingly allowing yourself to be governed and policed by the most radical version of your opposition.
You have no power, no influence, and simply by being a part of the right wing reddit ecosphere you are othering yourself from basically every other sub-reddit.
Like, imagine being a part of a community that uses special bots to identify your activity just to pre-ban you from talking about video games. Fucking delusional.
