Why is septum piercing so hated???? | Archive

I think the post originally said something like they wanted the real reason not 'septum theory', and proving that septum theory has predictive power you can see a lot of "FASCISM!", "MISOGYNY!", "CONSERVATISM!", and "THEY HATE BODILY AUTONOMY!" comments. A few people hit it closer to the truth: septum piercings are strongly reminiscent of piercings used to help control certain animals like cattle, buffalo and pigs.

Fewer understand it as being a facial piercing, and facial piercings in general are widely disliked outside of certain niche circles. Very few people look good with it, and most of the people who don't and aren't wearing jewelry they can flip out of sight have it as a kind of symbol of rebellion against social norms. It being associated with young, obnoxious people who have luxury degrees and make every workplace miserable is just kind of extra on top of everything else.

It's a very hard piercing to pull off in a way that compliments your features and style. Almost everyone has the anatomy to get it, but it looks bad 99% of the time.

It might have just been the people I was around, but it's wasn't without reason it was called "bull ring". This subreddit is a good example of how small groups of people can purity spiral in an echo chamber. It's all so very bougie.

Septum piercings are not so subtle signs that say “this person is probably unstable and prone to transgressive behaviors”. They’re ugly too, but the attitude that comes with them is worse imo.

I've known people with an eyebrow piercing and a little bead on the nose wing that were fine. A bit alternative or hipsterish, but fine. Every single septum piercing person, was a loon. The danger hair communist, the BPDemon or some other mental issue.

I don't even think about that, it makes for an easy insult, but it's not that. For me it is the kind of revulsion you get seeing a pile of shit or maggots crawling over rotten meat. Just an elementary disgust response.

I don't have my car right nowl, and car feels so tight and limited anyway. Is there any other places a homeless guy could stimfap?

I couldn't do public bathrooms in mall or something, I got paranoid, anxious and jump at slightest of sound that might be someone notice me. And that kill the flow and joy. I couldn't feel not paranoif even if I jerk off in an abandoned bathroom at an empty park or a dark alley at midnight

Where might be a good place? Or at least how not to be too paranoid becuz I think I imagine and hallucinate them half of it too
