reddit General

Jesus, talk about not being able to control your emotions, but then again what would you expect from someone dumb enough to post this shit on Reddit anyway?

he didn’t shut up and also said that he made her get rid of all her old photos with her dead husband at one point. He texted her for hours after the fight and she told him that she wants a divorce and to stop texting him. 🙌

Did anybody catch this post in r/relationships before OP deleted it. Thankfully it was arched on Twitter:

tldr : man married woman whose husband died at a young age, she married him on Valentine’s Day. she told new husband early on that she doesn’t celebrate valentines day. He gets jealous of seeing friends on social media celebrating it, so he decides to act like a man child and give her flowers. She gets pissed, and cries. He gets mad and breaks her first husbands wedding ring with a hammer.

Like this lovely post. OP went and deleted his account.

Massive DC sperg post on the 2021 batman movie (archive):
DC sperg.PNG

TLDR Synder fanboy is mad about the 20 seconds of footage of the new batman goes on an incoherent rant and fills his post with random images like this

Rest of the guys account just seems to be him sucking off synder and hating the burton and nolan batman movies. I liked Batman vs Superman well enough but synder spergs are insane

Snyder is okay but he has a pretty slim repertory of directorial tricks, like fast cuts, shaky camera shit, resulting in sometimes incoherent action, and he is just not auteur-tier. He was nowhere near good enough for doing Watchmen. He would have been good for MTV music videos back when those existed.

I also liked his 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead although obviously it was no match for the original.

Not to dis Snyder, he can do fun movies, he's just not in the league of Nolan or even Burton.

Yeah I think Synder can be overhated but the degree his fanboys worship his movies too is creepy and strange. It’s just a movie about the funny pages no need to type a massive schizo rant about how Ben affleck isn’t fat.

This is right in the reddit sweet spot of being an overelaborate story wherein no one acts like a human being and just about autistic enough to actually be real.

The stories are overelaborate/skewed human nature because, in general, OP goes to r/relationships r/AITA looking for validation rather than actual life guidance. And they often get it because on Reddit you have to be an "intellectual" with a "well-reasoned" response

You could fix 90% of what's wrong with Reddit if the admins would let you respond to any post with "lol STFU faggot," which is ironic since you could fix 90% of what's wrong with image boards by banning the same phrase.

My favourite reddit anomaly is when you go to a post with thousands of upvotes, and all the comments are removed because a mod threw a shitfit and canned fucking everything. That, or a thread like this one where a mod throws a shitfit over like four troll comments in an otherwise innocuous post, but somehow forgets to delete all the mean comments and you're left with a hundred comment chain of r/drama dropkicks dogpiling and commenting 'ok jannie', all with hundreds of upvotes.

"My wife spelled it out for me not to celebrate Valentine's Day because it reminds her of her dead husband but I NEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDD to celebrate it because my elementary school brain can't comprehend empathy! What could possibly go wrong? What do you mean you're angry at me because you told me not to do one simple thing? Now to destroy things in a fit of rage like an overgrown 6 year old! Now my life sucks because everyone is such a meanie!"
-OP if this actually is real

Nosleep is going down for a week to “protest” YouTube narrators, which they’ve apparently unironically tried to unionize against in the past, to no avail.

As a “reward” for getting through a full week without reading any of their gutless attempts to be scary, there will be a two-day period where that isn’t even sort of a requirement and people can post stories about whatever they want... so really, nothing will change.

Still, shoutout to the comments where they openly mention abusing YT’s copyright system to fuck with a narrator’s channel as if it was a good thing, since apparently reading publicly-posted stories without explicit permission is illegal according to them.

Really, Nosleep has been shit ever since the stories stopped having basis in reality due to the mods basically allowing it to turn into a dumping ground for amateur horror fiction. And ironically (to me at least) this fact greatly clashes with the whole believability rule.

"Huh, my family was brutally killed by a horrific monster....? Oh, I know what to do! Tell everyone on Reddit about it!"

/r/nosleep is either that or "My chair started talking to me about how I'll die (part eight)".

All my knowledge of League of Legends is mostly by proxy, but for those who don't quite follow:

- 27 deaths a game is abysmal. Typically your deaths should be fairly low in League of Legends since combat engagements don't always end in a player dying.
- When that person says they were a "bunch of diamonds," he's talking about their competitive rank. "Diamond" rank is just above average and if you were to use it as a gauge for competitive play, a Diamond player has no place going to major tournaments, let alone with a sponsor.

To put this into a bit more perspective, people are ranked in the online queue system from Iron (pejoratively Wood League) to Challenger, which is where people are poached for tournaments from.

Ranks go in the following order from lowest to highest:
Iron
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Diamond
Master
Grandmaster
Challenger

As you can see, diamond players are a lot lower down the ranking ladder than any real pro player would be.
