reddit General

I don't think so because redditors need the dopamine hit they get from seeing the updoots on their posts, and that karma number on their profile growing, sites with Likes, Upvotes etc. will get the most influx.
4chan’s equivalent of upvotes is (you)s [what appears on posts that are a reply to your post], which give just as much a dopamine hit in my opinion.

Is there actually a good free Reddit alternative or is it still just dead sites full of rejects like voat
From what I'm seeing the craze right now seems to be "bunker sites" with one or two subs in the same way that 8chan fueled bunker boards towards the end. thedonald.win is one. Another thing seems to be smaller reddit clones such as saidit (where IP2 moved to) or raddle.me (where places like /r/shoplifting moved to).

Setting up a Reddit clone is fucking easy because an older version of the code was FOSS.

Seriously though, why the fuck was r/bigchungus banned for "promoting hate", this is just mind boggling

bugs... easy on the hate speech

Something to distract you from current drama (link)
Hang themselves. That's what. More Redditards should try it. I guarantee it'll work.

Also I love and appreciate you for using the old.reddit link. New Reddit is fucking abysmal

Also all the replies in that make me thing that some ladies were fiddled with as kids if their standards are that low. There's no other explanation

Reddit is on the verge of collapse at this point. Let it collapse, fuck them. Also, I'm surprised that the political compass memes subplebbit survived. Probably one of the very few (this number includes less than six as of today) subreddits that aren't a complete circlejerk that have survived this mass purge.

Of course, anyone with an actual reddit account is a troglodyte in my opinion.

Oh! Also. The whole reason I snuck on in here, was because I wanted to mention. reddit nuking r/TheDonald has made it onto the headline news every hour on BBC radio stations in the UK. I think this says more bad about the Big Black Cock Corporation than anything else to be honest.

By the end of the year leddit will have 4 types of allowed subs:
1, Sensible political discussion in the vein of r/neoliberal
2. Astroturfed corporate subreddits
3. Fetish subs (cuck/sissy hypno/IR themed)
4. Fempire/SRS/AHS subs filled with trannies variously looking like Bob the Trucker/Rob the Programmer in a sun dress looking for wrongthinkers and powermodding the aforementioned three

There's going to be less and less alternatives for online discussion and a lot of people are just going to shutup and go along with it.
There will be a "if you don't like the changes you're a Nazi anyway" sentiment so people will be happy to see those gone and anyone on the fence will keep quiet.

I've heard some groups are jerking themselves off right now to the fact that /r/gendercritical and T_D are now banned, even though T_D moved offsite months ago. That's what they're doing to cope with the fact CTH got banned.

The real question is how long before the bunker sites run into hosting issues.

Its going to be sooner rather than later. Hosting issues for problematic sites are becoming more and more significant. Even if the host doesn't care themselves, there's thousands of people that will complain and threaten until the host acts.

just for the official announcement. As an actual fan of the CTH podcast, I’m glad to see their rancid subreddit get shut down and the hosts will be too (they fucking hate that subreddit, especially Amber)

edit: god damn I apparently missed a whole page, my bad if this is late
I highly recommend people take a look at the linked thread. Some janny is trying to give limp dick justifications and explanations but is getting his shit kicked in by everyone. I haven't laughed this much in a while. Well done reddit, you did it :drink:

We're watching the death of reddit in real time. I used to enjoy the site, and still do on occasion, but it saddens me to see how it's become a shell of its former self, completely astroturfed, caked in "wholesomeness," with no negativity allowed. They said the ban was to combat hate, but will that apply to whoever reddit's target of the week is? Sure, they'll ban people ripping on troons, but will they apply that same rule to people ripping on say, people ripping on anti-vaxxers? Or are certain targets considered acceptable? You want to ban hate from your platform, then go ahead and do it, but at least apply the same rules to everyone
