reddit General

That's hard for me to say. I thought /r/drama was ironic when I first saw it, but I think they were always weird. The culture they cultivate is something I don't really understand.
It was ironic and politically neutral with a slight right lean, with short, volatile posts/comments being encouraged. It was pretty fair game with who was made fun of, and long/serious posting was discouraged, which is pretty rampant on SRD. It was pretty entertaining, but the sub was consistently cucked by reddit admins until they finally wouldn't allow users to even directly link to other reddit posts, so the mods just killed it.

So in the beginning the gay stuff and the eye-hurting flair was just a cover, or something? It did seem like an overtly absurd parody of SRS lingo.

It's just funny. The jacked furry with the bulge on the sidebar and constant jokes about choosing twinks over irrational women was a joke... Hopefully. And I guess the "eye-hurting flairs", cigarettes, cheap beer logos, gay bar signs, stilletos, etc. were just fitting to the theme. Trashiness/drama, reality TV or whatever.

OT but why are there so many sex offenders out there? Almost every single one of those responses was about some guy watching porn, masturbating or doing something else lewd in public. I've seen this myself when I used to work in a customer service role. Do any men know how to behave civilised in public? What the fuck is wrong with society?

I don't get quite how the card game is still alive. Sure, the art is nice, but that's all you can really look at it for; the nice art.
The card game isnt really alive, magic has and will continue to have a more thriving tcg scene. Pokemon puts an emphasis on the collecting aspect as opposed to things like magic cards that are just seen as game pieces. Pokemon cards are more akin to baseball cards for the older generations, yes theres a game you can play with them but most kids want them for the collecting aspect. Of course these kids grow up and eventually want a nostalgia trip or they just never got out of the hobby and start buying them again, all while new kids are getting into pokemon still. It's funny to say but they're luxury goods, just like shoes that sell for tens of thousands of dollars or watches etc... of course most cards are worth jack shit and rightfully so. Ironically while the english market is blowing up the bulk of rare or expensive releases are Japanese exclusive, or when the cards were released in English it was a much wider release.

wtf, it's tankies trying to meme.

hilter version of this would get all the accounts banned in a parsec
Well, you know why, TikTok has CCP involvement.

Reddit does actually draw the line at tankyism that kills their advertising, they banned Chapo Trap House and associated subreddits a while ago. They just haven't noticed GenZedong yet.

Also, maybe try not being so violent you have to be restrained in the first place if you don't like it. Same with having screams recorded ... try "not screaming" to see if the situation improves at all. Just a suggestion, of course.
The autistic community will write these episodes off as an sensory overload or an panic attack and would advise kids to find a quiet closet to pull themselves together. But since tard rage is a thing, school resource officers has to deal with a spoiled kid throwing chairs and kicking a teacher because the teacher disrupted their routine.

Free internet is my guess. But what they don't know is that the librarians can remotely see what you're watching if they have the right program.

That is so damned annoying. What's the word they use for shoving low-functioning autists into regular classrooms? "Mainstreaming" or something like that? So selfish and disruptive.

If your kid falls apart, starts screaming and turns viciously violent just because some nit-picky routine he dreamed up gets "disrupted" by normal people doing normal things around him, he doesn't belong in normal classes. It is so absurdly unfair to the other better-behaved students to have their education (such as it is) constantly being disrupted by the class autist because his mommy needs a break from diaper and punching bag duty during the day. It's even worse to expect everyone else to treat him with kid gloves while he tears shit up and ruins it for everyone, and to punish anyone who dares yell at him for being a dipshit or worse, hitting back.

It kind of irks me to see autism fetishized like this, y’know?
PL, but my best friend from school was not just legit autistic, but his mom was a drunk who didn’t know how to handle autism and his dad was gone. Even then, he was still more well adjusted than how these redditors purport to act. Yes, he had issues, he lacked social grace, and he stimmed by twirling a stick around, but he was a good kid who genuinely tried his best.
Just seeing these redditors blaming things on everyone but them is just annoying it runs counter to the idea that they should be treated like everyone else.

They're probably hobos coming in to use internet porn. Hobos don't tend to be very mentally stable.

Can confirm from firsthand experience, men like this are disgusting. It's not just the free internet. It's something deeper and pervasive.
When you come across crazy women in public spaces like libraries, they do disgusting shit like shit and piss and leave garbage everywhere. They make the bathrooms in particular pretty disgusting. The men, though. The homeless men are all that and more. I've never had to call the cops on a homeless lady looking up CP, or had to chase a homeless woman out of a bathroom after they tried to jump a kid. It's always the dudes. I've even seen men who obviously have homes and cars do shit like start fapping in front of the library staff.

It pisses me off more than any other kind of fetishisation of mental illness because autistic people can learn not to be so violent, or to at least control themselves and calm down.

My cousin is an adult and he never learned any of that shit, so now he could lose it at any moment and beat the fuck out of the family - but no, autistic people are just smol uwu beans who shake their hands and stim!!! and need special special things because they're so very special. You can always tell these people aren't actually autistic because they're always drenched in make-up and they never have any tard fits, or do genuinely retarded shit, or hurt anybody because they're a victim.

...doesn't Chris drench himself in make up as part of his "tomgirl" act?

A lot of troons in general are autistic.

Feel free to give me top hats, but r/leopardsatemyface is the most off-putting subreddit in my estimation. The place has always been a mask-off zone where the left (the party of empathy) can openly celebrate any material misfortune their political opponents experience. The past day or so, it's devolved into grave dancing over randos who died of coronavirus. I generally think the crab rave stuff over famous people is in poor taste, but this takes that mentality to another level. These people are fucking ghouls.
