Princess and the Frog was great representation for African-Americans, it depicted a working class black woman struggle to achieve her dreams while mixing it in with the original fairy tale. It's not blatant, but it's no "Song of the South", it picks up on Tiana's disadvantages as a black woman and there's dialogue that references it.

Alternatively do you want the Coco treatment where they accidently included a border control aspect to a movie they wanted to appeal to Mexicans? Only on Reddit do people want corporations to appeal to them, but will constantly bitch about it.

Also they do ot in such a great why. That they are subtitle about it being hard for her becuase she is black and don't hit you over the head with it.

Nigerian sci-fi.

Two countries that share a border by a river, with a long and complex history.

Back when you could still find Nigerian fiction on Amazon that had English translation, it was a pretty popular thing. Nigerians love them some sci-fi stuff.

Less "We Wuz Kangs" and more "We are a modern nation with modern problems" stuff.

I hope they keep the original flavor (some of that sci-fi was really good, if un-woke) and problems and not try to Westernize it too bad.

AHS mod shows up to the thread to defend against claims that they post child porn.

The thread there is amazing, because Bardfinn made a comment claiming that "we tracked" users and a mod of banpitbulls as "violent white supremacists" or some bullshit. Posters on the thread at banpitbulls are now showing Bardfinn that he, too, has been "tracked" and referring people to kiwifarms for the information. I have never seen Bardfinn's "we have tracked you as" rhetoric backfire as spectacularly as it has this time. I think that AHS will be putting pressure on banpitbulls or the reddit admins to pull the thread or remove the comments about Bardfinn.
