Redesigning Floraverse - Because PK is a fucking idiot

I redrew her shit to make her mad, then people who are unironic fans wanted to pull a Yandere Sim situation and are actively trying to make their own version of this abortion instead of making their own thing completely unrelated to Floraverse. You don't have to use Floraverse because it doesn't have a story, it has a bunch of fucking threads being held together by furry porn.

I like making flora OCs and occasionally scribbling redesigns, but here are my two cents, take what you like from Floraverse and make it your own. Make your own content separate from Floraverse. Like the angels? Make a concept similar to it, PK took it from Madoka Magica witches anyway. Eventually, you can separate your stuff and make original, better content. You have to steal "intelligently", and not haphazardly shove things together.

I know this is KF and i will probably get hated about this but, i don't think all Floraverse characters are terrible, some of them are fine enough

Shizu, Biff, Pride Piper and Lily are somehow an example of this. If were good at art i would pretty much do art of those specific floraverse characters and maybe some redesigns for myself. I admit that i don't know shit about the floraverse storyline and if at some point any of those characters did bad things, that comic managed to get me attached to these characters anyway

For me, i don't necessarily need to like the comics, i just care about the characters and how each of them makes me intrigued

You would be surprised. Biff and Claude were quite popular in the original thread. (In fact, Biff's transformation is a result of Melanie trying to make Biff less popular!) Then there is Fvx, the Sensible Rabbit Thing.

I am not good at art, which is the reason why I am working on my art skills before I start designing.
At some point, though, we have to just go for it and get experience and critique (even if self-critique, at least).

So she changed Biff because she saw he was a more popular character just so she could force people to pay more attention to the other characters or the characters she thought that were actually important? That's a dick move

Wouldn't be easier to give all characters some kind of important goal or objective to fit inside the plot?

That assumes that Melanie has any goal of coherence, even if the focus is on Melanie, herself.

I almost want to try and make a Floraverse OC but the species sheets I'm looking at don't have the best of visual references.
Oh well I'll still give it a shot

(Yes! Someone else commented! I can update without double-posting!)

Because of my option of using the rather low-fidelity OHRRPGCE, I decided to embrace that æsthetic. My reference material would be GameGear games. When I looked around Spriter's Resource, I decided that:
  • the sprites would be based on those of the Donald Duck games.
  • the full-screen art would be based on those of Desert Speedtrap.
  • the backgrounds would be based on those of The Jungle Book, but I might change this.
The font is based on the Tandy New TV+ font from The Ultimate Oldschool PC Font Pack. However, I did a few modifications to a few letters, making them more distinguishable from others. More importantly, I replaced some letters from the Latin-1 standard with some others, adding not only the French œ, Œ, and Ÿ but also all of the Esperanto letters. I also added elemental icons that are adapted from WebHosting Hub Glyphs.

Also, some of these icons are part of the OHRRPGCE default font set.)

The music, however... I am not sure if I am going to use chiptune or that Spyro Soundfont that I want to try out. What will happen is that I am going to use Advanced Mario Sequencer, partially because I am new to music-making, partially because I do not want to complicate myself again. (I want to practice my music-making knowledge with this game.) The sound effects would be chiptune, however.

By the way, I finally decided what environments would make most of the elements:
  • Fire: bushfire territory (think Australia)
  • Water: mist
  • Air: high-pressure chamber
  • Earth: mountain
  • Spirit: dream world

Hello people! Im back on this thread to suggest the creation of a discord server to focus on the thread (yes i know, there was a discord before, but another one wouldn't hurt). So if you guys are still interested about the Redesign ideas i would like to know your opinions! If people agree i might create the discord server and send invites in private (PK is always watching)

Edit: I even made the group logo! Now we just need to gather together and make things work
