Doing this every week might get boring pretty fast. I prefer event triggered drawpiles, like new characters or something? But weekly themed ones are ok too, you do you. Though I might not come too often.

We could do mini-theme weekly ones on a small canvas. Draw only a character or two. Make it relax until something big comes a long. Then we get crazy.

This is from the last drawpile. Wanter to give Neon more of an actual punk/biker from 90's look with crazy eye murdering colors, though her mohawk was driving me crazy. Needs biker gloves. Eyeliner purely for aesthetic, her eyes looked boring.

I really like this one. I wonder if it would work with a duller blue or pink, just to keep it from being too hard to look at? I don't know if that would interfere too much with the cyan-magenta thing, though.

Maybe look at photos of fabric and crinkled paper as reference. That sort of thing is really hard to draw from imagination without strong understanding how sheets fold and wrinkle under pressure or gravity. When in doubt, find a reference.

Just wanted to contribute something to this thread. I'm currently teaching myself 3d modeling and thought I'd try creating some characters from here. So far, this is my progress on Mr. Buttflora. I'm having a little trouble doing the spiky hair but overall I think it's looking alright. Depending on how well it goes, I may try doing more characters.

drew this jupet with a normal cat when @Bellson Adams wanted me to make a video on how i did trackpad art back in sai. im a little rusty but i think it turned out pretty okay
i never use sai so you can see me flailing around in it pretending that i remember how it works
