Kind of a survey thread. I'm sure like a lot of people, I try to avoid Twitter as the center of everything that is important in life. It's the social media platform used by most celebrities and other people of note. Of course this means that tons of drama is held across the site. In some regards, it's even more toxic then Tumblr is.

As someone who tries to adhere to "Out of sight, Out of mind", who else here refuses to start a Twitter account because of all of the insanity that happens on there?

Feel free to share stories of Twitter drama that made you say "Fuck it.".

(Note: I made this while I was drunk. For better or worse.)

It bugs me when Twitter has a character count so people "compensate" by making thirteen-part rants because they think Twitter is a blog and not a short, succinct thought-sharer, like the idiots on FB that make one-sentence statuses with a picture of a dog. It's like it's reversed, it's weird.

Also it's not a good platform for sharing art. The site's not intuitive, hard to follow threads and clunky. No thanks.

Twitter, like any social media outlet, is a tool you control. Don't follow people, don't look up people, don't read what you don't want to see. It's simple. I'm not into art or social sharing, just your basic bottom-feeder trolling, like mocking people who swore they'd move to another country if Trump was elected (they didn't). It's fun to use it for that.

I signed up for an account in 2014 and have logged on maybe three times since. I think one of those times, I put something along the lines of "I don't use Twitter" in my profile description. I would check to go see what exactly I put in there, but I don't really want to go out of my way for that.

I have a twitter for the sole purpose of following people who I like online. I dont use other social media though and I never have

I used Twitter one time in my life to talk to someone and then never again. It was so bad because I barely had 10 words allowed to use.

Since I know think it's the cancer of the modern day world, I never use it or touch it. I've completely forgotten about my account (that I tried to delete) because 100% of its messages to go my spam box. Where they belong.

I made a Twitter when I was like 17 or 18 to spam posts from a mobile racing game to get extra credits, and I quit facebook about a month ago.

I don't "get" Twitter. I feel like it's constrictive character count encourages people to post the least developed thoughts that pop into their heads.

I quit facebook because of the retarded censorship rules and the amount of boomers posting minions memes or beyond fake (anti or pro) Trump news without an ounce of irony.
