I haven't been here for the longest time but I'm gonna miss laughing at trannies and not have to get threaten with a ban hammer if this turns out to be true.

Anyone who thinks passage of 230 Reform is imminent based on a threat to veto a continuing resolution does not understand how DC works.

Anyone who thinks passage of 230 Reform would affect liability protections for any platforms that are doing less than 10m daily impressions does not understand how regulation works.

This is dumb.

My understanding of internet regulations is limited. Currently, websites cannot be penalized for content that anonymous users post, at least in the U.S.A. ? Is that right?

As far as I can tell, the argument, right now, is that certain websites curate and editorialize, thereby disqualifying themselves from free speech protections. Think Twitter and Facebook. Seems to be based on court rulings governing newspapers in the past.

This place allows every kind of speech - within the law, no matter how offensive - and so should NOT be subject to the same restrictions as other media outlets who censor content.

As an American? I believe my right to say offensive things is paramount. More important than any other. Can somebody please give Null $10,000.00 to keep this place up and running?
