which is 43 house seats. This is not enough to stop the house from overriding the veto atm. 290 votes are required to override the veto which currently exists
 
The worst part is the Repeal of 230 isn't even going to hurt the big tech companies he's aiming this at either its actually going to benefit them in the end. Thats what i dont get.
It will be sad days for not just this site but, the internet as a whole...

I'm probably not the first person to suggest this, but..
Would moving this forum exclusively to Tor be a long term solution? Seems like it would fix a lot of problems
 
Trump is not going to win. Both he and Biden will do what their masters tell them.

The site has been fun, has long supported un-PC speech, for that I salute Null.

Our media and government is creating lolcows at such a rapid rate that we won't even need to look for them online anymore as they will be all around us.

The lolcows we laugh at here will remain in our hearts forever, but this site going down is not going to stop us from laughing at the many retards we see day to day in the real world.
 
It's really not a left vs right argument, it's expression vs suppression. I've seen plenty in the right-wing engage in similar behavior when they're in control. That's what this ultimately is all about, those who want to control the exchange of ideas vs those who want to open it up.
It's amazing how many "based" Kiwis forget that just two decades ago it was the Left defending free speech from Conservative Christian Fundies.
