Boomers have pretty much destroyed the country. They sucked everything they could out of it and left the bankrupt, passed-by, shitty job, no infrastructure husk we have now. We went from one person working in a middle-class family to both parents working and still not being able to get by because the jobs suck and everything costs way too much because corporations were allowed to take all the profit they wanted for the last 50 years. Cost of living has gone up 80% in the past 50 years and real income has gone up 7%. There's been no generation worse for this country than the Boomers. That's why it doesn't matter who is president---you can't fix stupid, and you can't wave a magic wand and bring America back to the old days.

The people in charge during the 70, 80 were from a generation prior to the boomers and the cultural change was adopted by some hippie boomers but mostly the Xers... this is way off-topic but the boomer generation was the last one that wholeheartedly believed in american exceptionalism and some semblancy of trust, the basis of your (I´m guessing you are american) success. The boomers were robbed of all the wealth they generated during their working years, the final remaining pieces which are the 401k plans and pension funds are going to start going belly up within the next year at this rate. Most boomers are not even aware what has been done to them. The people to blame are the folks who have played the long game scam that is our current financial and political system. That is the bankers, insurance companies, and politicians. The same fucks that screwed the generation before, and our current generation.

Because death is coming for them. Even the youngest of them are in the age group where they're more vulnerable to Cancer and other disease and the oldest are getting to the end of their line. Not to mention, Covid. They're angry over their own mortality. Boomers where I live live off their real estate purchases - mean while young people can't even afford to buy a home because the housing market is so inflated.
