Trump is doing it for petty reasons. I just see this as an unintended consequence. Even if the Democrats wanted to do it before it will be hard for them to justify it now at least for awhile.

Actually it seemed like jokes about his use of adult diapers were the ultimate trigger. His threat of vetoing the defense bill came in the wake of twitter noticing his big padded bottom at the tiny desk and the diaperdon hashtag trending. Lol.

They will not repel Section 230 so there is no point asking for what you can't get.

Newsmax, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Facebook - NOBODY wants that section repelled for the most obvious of reasons - most of them good reasons.

If Trump asked them to repel section 1234567 his base would support it simply because Trump said it is so.

If you repel the act, the ability of the United States with a dictator as President to literally control all news and information becomes the new rule. If you can't touch the Dictator, and you cant report on anything other than what the government wants, you have China and not the United States.

The chances of Section 230 being repelled or rewritten to give it no teeth is so close to zero we might as well ask for the army to wear Santa suits as the uniform.
