I remember these games, I just suck at 'em.
Is OP aware of the Sega CD title Heart of the Alien? I think it's a sort-of unofficial sequel to Out of this World - I have some recollection of it not sitting well with Eric Chahi or being made without his involvement, but I can't recall the details of that out of hand.
