Remote Neural Monitoring : How They Spy on Your Thoughts. Is This Mind Control for the 21st Century ?

Are you seriously looking forward to the rise of AI ? You're not worried about it going full Skynet, with Terminators wandering about executing us for wrongthink or offending some spacker ? Or the nano-implant tricking our feeble minds to mass convert to Islam ? Maybe it's an age thing but I'd rather go back to 1984, even if it means having a mullet, smoking soapbar & having crap sex outside in the cold while drunk on cheap cider. Fuck the future.

No fate, but what we make. The way I see it an AI with the right set of interests can be the best kind of benevolent dictator. Problem is that we are too much of a liability. And on that note; I'm fine roasting in nuclear hellfire just as long as all the fat cat bankers, corrupt politicians, and untouchable captains of industry are shitting out their intestinal lining through their noses right alongside me. Most of the police state shit doesn't require actual A.I. just lots of computing power. So I get where you are actually going with your flawed Terminator analogy.

I do appreciate that AI could be a huge benefit to us in many different areas, from general household chores to life saving medical procedures but there is obviously a darker aspect to all this. Maybe the writer of the article managed to construct a statement that triggered me a little bit but the thought of humans having an implant that could cause hallucinations or install thoughts is pretty terrifying when you think about the ramifications.

As you've mentioned the elites, I can't help wondering that when the media message of " many of your jobs will be automated soon" finally comes true, then what becomes of us worker drones ? We won't be generating taxes as we were once, so will some of us become obsolete ? Don't get me wrong, it's not really something I'm actually too concerned about, I've probably only got 2 decades left, at best, but I can't help wondering about what will happen to mankind this century & whether advances in technology will benefit everybody, or just the ruling elite ?

Aging might be cured in the future so we might live for centuries and see other advances in technology. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fo...-to-aging-could-be-hiding-in-plain-sight/amp/
