Feedback remove featured threads

I'm torn on this. I don't go on the Farms much anymore due to work and other stuff. So sometimes a featured thread will let me know when there is an update on Chris. Like others, I will sometimes ignore a featured thread if it's not about a lolcow I'm personally interested in. I don't have a really strong opinion either way, and I'm sure the admin will do what is best for this site.

*rates agree*

I only ever got one thread featured (thank god) and it spiraled out of control and died. I don't necessarily care, though sometimes featured threads can showcase interesting cows, or ones I already follow.

They all do end up clogged with shitposts though, and I'm kinda guilty there myself.

I'm sure the admins will figure it out.

Certainly the Nick Bate 2 thread got a lot of it.
Don't forget second threads for cows which get the customary "Who is this cow and why should I care?" or "Gimme a summary" posts.

Seriously if you had not followed them till now, don't bother asking that.

Suggestion: Make every thread a featured thread, with a series of tabs or a scroll bar at the bottom so we can easily see the featured threads (all of them)
Then when all threads are features...none of them will be.

I can understand this, but I also understand not wanting to read 100+ pages about a single lolcow.

If you're not ready to invest dozens of hours and entire days straight into studying a lolcow you have no place in this community.

I nearly cried tears of joy the first time I had one of my threads Featured. I long for those days and consider them to be my Golden Years.

I guess you are right. Perhaps a happy middle would be to simply put a short summery or bullet-points in the OP. But I'm just brainstorming.

Featured threads are not automated fully. They can be overridden by a group of certain members and usually its them who point them to new threads to grab early attention.

I've seen this in a few threads, and it really does help, especially for new members of the forum. Plus, with aforesaid shitposting, I'd rather read a summary/bullet points/FAQ than sift through pages of A-logging.

Cat is a stupid cat why would anyone listen to a cat when everyone knows cats are in fact the internet's greatest lolcows.

Seriously there is nothing gayer than obsessing over "post quality" on here.

But I am far too lazy to actually search the farms for any cows worth looking at! How could you be so inconsiderate?
