What we know​

WASHINGTON - United States Capitol police officers arrested a man Tuesday evening following an alleged assault on U.S. Representative Nancy Mace inside the Rayburn House Office Building.

The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. when Rep. Mace’s office reported the assault to Capitol Police.

Who assaulted Rep. Nancy Mace?​

Officers from the House Division and agents with the Threat Assessment Section were able to swiftly locate the suspect, identified as James McIntyre, 33, of Illinois.

Following an investigative interview, McIntyre was arrested and charged with assaulting a government official.

What Rep. Mace is saying​

Rep. Mace commented on the incident via X, stating, "I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man. One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm, and it’ll heal just fine. The Capitol Police arrested the guy."

"Your tr*ns violence and threats on my life will only make me double down. FAFO," she added.

At the time of the incident, the Rayburn House Office Building was open to the public.

Authorities confirmed McIntyre had passed through standard security screening before entering the building.

An investigation is ongoing.

It's so that if you someone copies your press release or social media text to another platform it won't be automatically censored. If someone types 'nigger' on Kiwifarms it won't get them automatically banned. But copy 'nigger' in plain text to just about any other social media platform or forum and you'll likely get an instant ban or warning. So a lot of people will just actively censor their own speech so that it can be copied to media sites run by faggots who should unalive themselves.

The fact that they havent published a photo is going to lead me to believe the man was in troon attire. Had this been AOC or Pelosi attacked the photo would be plastered all across the news of the big bad evil huwhyte man.

DC Jails use Vinelink, and he does not have a record there as of yet. There is no seperate inmate locator/jail roster for the US Capitol Police however, so if they are holding him in their own holding cell they wont show up.

What's the case law on first responders causing harm when racing to or from work for an emergency?

Do they have some form of qualified immunity?

The attached article says the bomb squad cop was in his personal vehicle at the time of the accident, presumably without a cherry.

There's also a possible reckless component as well that the injured but surviving officer may have caused even if it were legal for him to race to respond to an emergency.

Given the accident was fatal, it presumably had to be a high-velocity crash at highway speeds.

They stood by tearfully as he was searched for several minutes by police, asking officers where he’d be taken and calling frantically for an attorney who could represent him.

McIntyre, 33, has spoken publicly about his excruciating experience growing up in foster care, and is now a leading voice in policymaking in his home state of Illinois. He is also a chapter co-founder of the influential group Foster Care Alumni of America. In 2019, the National Association of Social Workers’ Illinois chapter named him the “Public Citizen of the Year.”
