Alright so I finally got a chance to finish Infinite Darkness... and I had fun with it. Yeah it kinda shit the bed towards the end and Claire was borderline useless, but It explored a neglected plotline from outbreak, which was the U.S military experimenting with the T virus.

It's definitely a slower paced, less bombastic RE then we are used to, but I was really getting into it... up until the last episode. Felt like they ran out of money, skipped a couple scenes, reused assets from Damnation and just decided to wrap it up. It's not terrible, but it is rushed and clunky.

The villain was intriguing if obvious. Had a really good backstory and motivations, but he just kinda turned into the abomination from the Hulk and fucked off towards the end.

I really enjoy when RE explores the political side of zombies and BOW's being used as weapons. They just need better quality writing for doing it.

Also:
Did Leon somehow prevent or reduce the war on terror at the end?

What's the opinion on Revelations 2? Because surprisingly, its been really good. Currently on ep 3 and im digging the flow. Feels like a scary version of 4 with a Coop/controllable Ashley. Gameplay feels fresh and interesting.

I’d say a lot of people see it as good. That kind of “good.” So not great, but not bad. The 7/10 or 8/10 kind of good.

If my PC could reasonably play RE2 Remake and RE7 well is there a chance I can also play RE8? I'll be interested when the price drops but I'm gonna be saddened if my old rig can hardly play it.

The games on pc have a lot of graphics options, while you need you turn things down it Will work.

I’m pretty sure if it can play 2 remake well, it can definitely play Village.

Seems like people aren't too happy with the Resident Evil Netflix thing, and if it's anything like what's described here, then it sounds like horrible shit (which at this point is expected with NetFlix)

I gotta mention that the villain (or is it the secondary villain?) is some politician that wants to start a war with China and based on his dialogue, really hates China. And he’s the villain... real subtle messaging there pedoflix.

I'd say Infinite Darkness still got some of that insanity that made Vendetta so fun. It's pretty serious and downplayed until the final act, where out of nowhere the evil politician dude is revealed to have a massive zombie soldier factory right underneath the UN with a billion gallons of acid stored in the walls just in case a Tyrant shows up.

It's just so fucking random I couldn't help but laugh. Still shit tho.

I want to flatter myself by saying gamers aren't as dumb as we appear.

We don't butter our asses for anyone who shoots our characters in live-action. But then I remember the RE movies exist.

I think the thing with RE movies is, after the first one, we all got a good idea of what any sequel would be like. So RE fans enjoy them knowing full well it's a trash fire, but an enjoyable trash fire.

Well, most. I hated the movies.

So everybody, which series had the worse movies? Silent Hill or Resident Evil?
