I love Outbreak and it's formula; It's so simple yet full of charm.

Throw a bunch of simple, but colorful characters into a dire situation and have them work together, sadly though, i can imagine the way these characters would be butchered if brought up today.

Kevin (Cocky Cop with the 'tude): Turned into an incompetent wise-cracking loser, or blackwashed into a stoic, quiet bore.

Cindy (Disney Princess Waitress): Fat and "wholesome". Not quite girlboss but "i'm NOT a princess that needs to be rescued!"

Mark (Grizzled Veteran Security Guard): Honestly? He might be left as is. Maybe make him gay with that partner of his that does during the first case.

Jim (Chris Tucker): This nigga MOIST. This nigga ZESTY. This nigga SWEET.
If Mark goes gay then Jim goes full blown faggot. Might actually get whitewashed.

Alyssa (Bitchy Journalist): Oh my God... Where do i even begin...?

First of all she's getting melaninated, either black or hispanic. Bitchiness upscales into girlboss. Westernized with a square-jaw and huge eyebrows. Goes front and center in the boxart and becomes the clear dev favorite. Also a lesbian.

David (Angry Plumber with a Mysterious Past): Might actually be left as is, like with Mark. Vaguely ethnic (Italian? Hispanic?) man with caucasian features who's probably becoming eye candy for the audience. At first i thought they'd turn him indian but absolutely no one finds indian men attractive.

George (Quiet but Dependable Doctor): This guy will get killed on the first scene. He's as white as white can be and i don't think the devs can handle that.

Yoko (Shy Foreign Student): She will fucking love science. She will never shut the fuck up. She will be the quirky lememe-lord constantly spouting references and tension ruining quips. Will become transgender or non-binary.

I feel like replaying the originals after writing this.
Capcom: people want outbreak. Let's give them REsistance stupid capcom

Ella's fetish is known considering she dated a Gaijin Hunter & all that, but I didn't knew she met June Lovejoy.

Eh, better her than Sphere Hunter.
Fun fact: One year later, June Lovejoy remove her pronouns from her bio.

I played some Outbreak File 2 over the holiday. I just love some retard stacking all the handgun ammo that you can't even split it with the teammates, and goes up to the roof to just die in the RPD scenario.

The tracker app helps a lot since you can see your team's location/items/enemy health etc.

playing re4 remake in VR, i can not play it for over an hour because it feels clear it was not made with vr in mind, but looking at it from another perspective does make it feel different.

I'm slowly playing through the Re4Make. When it's good it's good, there's some nice additions, but there's something that is still bugging me about it. Maybe I don't knife counter enough? Maybe the feels camera too close to the character? I don't want the same game AGAIN but I feel that due to the changes in gameplay some of the most iconic situations have become worse instead of enhanced in some ways. idk, hard to put my finger on.

Leon moves like he's in custard and can't aim for shit, unlike the original, which makes it frustrating to play.
I don't have a problem with the aiming in general but in a hectic situation where someone is downed and stands up close to you then it often feel like the aim is off. Off to the left. Maybe it's the camera angle that is playing tricks on me.
It's a good game, but that's one of the things that bugs me.

Literally undergone combat training by the way which explained the change in OG re4 but now it means nothing in the intro since he controls the same as re2. They reused the Revelations 2 controls I learned so they may as well include the best parts of it. Nope.

I replayed re4 remake a few weeks ago and it’s so damn frustrating to control. The game genuinely feels better to play in VR and that makes me feel sick.

Deborah Harper (re6) concept art 1000304504.png
Vs final game 1000304505.png Disappointing how much they toned her inhuman aspects down like her hollow face opening. I liked the C-Virus in RE6, I just wish they came up with cooler stuff instead of whatever the fuck Lycans are in re8. The mold were cool in 7 but got very repetitive. I liked the enemy variety and action flow in 6. Just wasn't a good horror entry.

Apparently it seems that RE9 wont be coming anytime soon and Capcom will focus on making remakes in the meantime and RE0 remake seems to be in the cards (take it with a grain of salt tho).

Sounds like Hell and the opposite of what they were doing with the rebooting of the series with RE7 they fucking went backwards. 0 shouldn't be canon. Fuck Resident Evil 0, maybe if they redo the story to tie into re1 better it can work but the only decent thing from it was the rejected monster concepts.

Well, given how busy Capcom's been with doing Mac/iOS versions of RE recently...

(Currently at RE7, RE8, RE4 and RE2, plus DLC, plus the odd online DRM thing that got added, then removed).

It explains what some of their RE team's been doing.

whatever the fuck Lycans are in re8.
Goblins.
Like "oh they're lycans because werewolf guys" everyone that played the game told me this but each time I look at them I just see fucking goblins. They have no werewolf features they're little hunched over angry grey people with axes and shit.

Seriously that is a god damned goblin. I know a fucking goblin when I see one.
EDIT: Just remembered something funny. When my friend was playing through the game and got to the part where it's like a mining cave thing full of them I just started playing this song and it synced up with the shit on screen lmao.

I remember those early trailers where Village just looked like a Bloodborne sequel.

Probably a good idea. Eight was messy to the point where it was actually confusing and it seems like there are two different canons going on, original canon and mold saga and they have absolutely no idea where to take the plot.

Honestly, Resident Evil, as a series, really seems to being written as they go since there are many plot points that were brought up and then dropped once the writers gave up on them for whatever reason or fans werent fans of them.

Ironically I see people wishing to control the usual favorites in the next major entry and its kind of ironic we got Ethan and the Mold saga out of the desire to distance from them after RE 6.

I cant help but feel like RE is entering some sort of seasonal rot equivalent of gaming where it really feels like they have done all they can and it all feels kind of aimless atm.
