I legit dont know if I would bother posting a reply with a thought out "You are wrong and here is why" or just settle on saying "were you born stupid or did you learn take lessons from Reddit and Twitter?". Also there is a reason why their written works are so poor, their characters are personality-less blank slates who rarely have character establishing moments and lines (like with the "ballistics" line where they show the Luis is kind of a sleeze ball but he was mostly likely just fucking with Ashley to get a reaction out of her...thats establishing what character Luis is, basic writing 101).
This isnt smart, this is simply you admitting the modern "gamer" cant handle a line that fucking CHILDREN handled it just fine more than 10 years ago. Sooo when you get down to it, its just basically admitting you are fucking weak.

1. Yeah this guy can go to Hell. What a shitty opinion, and furthermore a thin skinned dude. You'd have to be SUPREMELY sensitive to even be offended by any of the lines in game.
2. Capcom wasn't even involved with this one development or PR wise; this was all Oculus's fault since THEY were the ones that wanted to "modernize" the game. If any thing, fuck Facebook for locking this port behind a singular machine.
3. H3VR, Blade and Sorcery, Half Life Alyx, Boneworks, Pavlov, literally every decently made VR mod... Nah man, VR is pretty cool.
Just bought the game, gonna leave some thoughts once I get to the castle. I'm cautious but excited.

That sucks, everyone's first RE game should be REmake.
This is already an example of the boiling frog, once upon a time people got offended over the big, bouncing boobies of DOA or other explicit fanservice shit, these lines in RE4 are mild as shit, you're really telling me 2021 can't handle a few throwaway jokes from 2005? Stupid as shit.
The last time I played REmake was the first time I saw the sandwich line at all because I always had the foresight to use the broken shotgun, this time knowing Barry would save Jill I waited, wondering what he was going to say and I was pretty amused he said some variation on the sandwich line at all.
That's not at all made clear and I made a note to read every note in the game even when that annoyed an online co op partner, the storyline only talks about the Progenitor virus and Ouroboros, never directly connecting it to the Las Plagas which is just there unless I missed something.
Ouroboros was obviously them reusing the "black fog" idea from an unfinished version of RE4, a lot of the script feels like it was using earlier drafts of ideas with RE4 elements shoehorned in, even Wesker's stated goal of "restoring Umbrella" at the end of RE4 is not mentioned and never made any sense anyway since Wesker never cared about Umbrella itself, I hate how sloppy the series' storytelling got for a while there.
The Regenerators are the highlight of act 3, they feel more legitimately "Resident Evil" than the Las Plagas infected and it's oddly satisfying to snipe off the parasites.
Mainly I found myself wishing I could go back to 2005 when RE4 was new and was pretty mind blowing.

Sorry to change topic with a trite question, but here in Blighty RE:Village is on Steam sale, and I’m tempted - however, I did not enjoy RE7 at all against popular opinion; just wondering if RE:Village is similarly contrived jump scare torture porn, or if it is as great as the ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ review scores suggests?
I played the village portion of the demo and quite enjoyed it; I’ve largely avoided reviews because of the endless hysteria of giantess fetishism…

Give'r a try, I found it much more fun than 7 due to the variety of weapons and enemies. Helps too that there are some pretty fun bosses too, both mechanics and personality wise.
I'd wholeheartedly say to buy it.

RE8 is pretty different than RE7, I'd definitely recommend you go for it and play it.

Village is much better than 7 in many ways IMO. It's got a few jump scare-y moments here and there but the atmosphere is fantastic and there's more variety overall.
And don't worry, big vampire woman got blown out of proportion by all the thirsty neckbeards, she's not the center of the game.

Right, I have returned from my VR journey to not-Spain, and I gotta say, it's pretty fun despite the SERIOUS amount of cut content.
Pros:
-Shooting feels quite nice; blowing away Ganados with the TMP in a closed off area or using a shotgun on a horde feels fucking G O O D
-Lots of redone textures, not HD Project level but still good looking
-Aside from the cut dialog, the game is pretty much unmolested, no missing parts or levels. The full ass campaign is here and wonderfully recreated
-LOTS of interactivity, exactly what I want out of VR; puzzles feel so much more fun now that you're physically pulling around stuff or switching things
Cons:
-NO MERCENARIES/ASSIGNMENT ADA/SEPERATE WAYS. A serious ball drop here, that's a good chunk of the games replayability missing. They better update this in or there will be a LOT of bad publicity aside from the the censorship
-Speaking of, missing lines for pretty much any "crass" lines or anything "problematic". Also, no upskirt shots. Fucking Facebook.
-VERY streaming unfriendly. I tried streaming this to some friends and it was terrible; audio glitches, repeated visual static and more.
All in all, it's still RE4 but with a nifty little gimmick. Bit pricey though; 45 bucks here in Canada land makes it a bit of an investment. I'd say if you REALLY like RE4 or wanna try out RE4 but dislike tank controls or whatever, give it a shot. Otherwise yeah it's an average VR port. I had fun, but I don't think I'll be doing repeat replays like base RE4 until all three game modes are restored.

It's out on steam already (There was a kickstarter).
I kinda like this artstyle over tormented souls shitty plastic look but bugs and suzy make me wanna skip this.

capcom could just stop making new games and keep porting re4 and they'd still be making money
I mean, I don't like it but what else can we do? "Survival" horror has been a niche for decades, and I don't think it's RE4's fault. Casuals don't want to learn how to play these games and Crapcom is all about money, so I guess we'll stuck with more streamer bait mediocrity

So about the 9 announcements for resident evil this month, 7 have been revealed so far. Merchandise shit, RE4 vr which everyone already knew about, village demos are now completely playable but who cares about those, the franchise is on sale, infinite darkness blu ray releases. (Dear god) nothing special. There’s going to be announcements on the 25th and the 29th. Village dlc is the best we can get, but based on the quality of the announcements so far, don’t expect much.

Call me crazy, but I think the 29th announcement is gonna be RE4 remake. We've been teased about it, had assets leaked about it, and there's been an overdrive of RE4 content lately. I think alongside the Village DLC we're gonna have an RE4 remake announcement.
