thats not hard to believe its a hivemind. The largest living organism in the world is a giant fungus bed. Fungus in the real world infects animal brains to spread spores effectively. Fungus in the real world has all the properties of the mold to some extent thats why its a good choice for an antagonist.

Ah yeah, but the point I meant was it's not the same as the BSAA using mini tyrants at least I hope they're mini tyrants and not 'volunteers' as front line troops en masse. It's a bit of an ethical dilemma, keep true and honest humans out of danger, but run the risk of another incident or power corruption.

Replaying RE2RE and played RE3RE.
RE2RE is still very good, but I have noticed that with controller, I am awful at hitting zombies in the head. Their damn head momements throw me off.
RE3RE was also pretty good, but I know there was a lot of changes from the OG ( I have not played it or RE2 og either).

nu-"jill" is nothing like the OG. capcom rewrote that shit
