I’m trying to play RE6 on the cloud streaming emulator shit on ps5. I really don’t know how anyone enjoys this game it’s a snooze fest so far.
Its been a long time since I played Re6 but I remember every mission in that game taking like a fucking hour to finish. I hate played that whole game for some reason too. There's some cool stuff in it but its just not worth it to waste your fucking time.

I find it kind of amusing though that Adas campaign is basically meant to be a solo experience but they couldn't just let that be so if you play 2 player, youre handed a generic agent character who can't do like half the actions of the main cast and vanishes instantly if he's ever in a cutscene.

RE6 was meant to be a single campaign with two characters Leon and Claire. Leon's Tall Oaks section wants to be RE2 so fucking bad.

Even as bloated as it is. I'd like it if the setpieces actually felt like you backtracked a lot in areas. You're constantly just running through shit.

originally, Ada's campaign is single player only, until a patch made it possible for multiplayer

Agent is the most endearing Resident evil character because he is just there. A faceless Merc who just doing his job. He doesn't get in the spot light, doesn't do anything wacky or over the top. He just there to do his job, then get going when not needed. He quite literally the stand in for your average working man. I personally like to imagine that when he not doing merc work he has a family, and hangs out with his kids.

He doesn't give two shits what nameless body horror monster he has to face today, he just gets told what his job is, and does it then goes home to his loving family. No crazy conspiracy, no Save the world this, stop a evil corporation that.

I still love Resident Evil 5 simply due to the fact that it was the earliest indication that people would just call everything racist apparently the majority of zombies being black in a game that takes place in Africa makes no sense to these people.

It was also my first Resident Evil game so it has a special place in my heart

I did eventually play through the originals and I can say I am the master of unlocking things

The site is being wonky so I can’t quote my old post, but my copy of RE4 remake arrived earlier than I expected so I’m just going in on it without replaying 2 or 3.

It’s a much different game from the RE2 remake, but it’s not as bad as I expected and I’ve officially passed the point where I got stuck on the original on PS2(the giant fight in the quarry) 15+ years ago.

I actually started the HD remaster before the remake arrived and I think my biggest issue with the original was just the controls, I only made it as far as the first typewriter before giving up and putting it down. The remake though solves that and controlling Leon feels so much more fluid compared to the pseudo-tank controls of the original.

I’m at the castle now and think I might have a chance at actually finishing the game for the first time.
I finally beat it, the last stretch of chapter 15 felt like a slog so I put it down for a while. I bought the rocket launcher when it went on discount and it’d been sitting in my storage since then so I used it on Saddler.

Overall it was a lot of fun and after almost 20 years I can finally say I’ve beaten RE4, though I don’t see myself going back to it or replaying it like the RE2 remake. Probably in my top 5 RE games but not top 3(including originals and remakes separately.)

Now I need to decide whether I want to play through the RE1 remake for the first time or replay RE2 remake again. 🤔

Did you play the original on PS1? Because if not, play that first. Both with Chris and Jill. Then and only then, do you play REmake. You can't appreciate it if you haven't touched the original.

Many of the aspects of the game play with your expectations if you played the original and throws curveballs.

Yeah I played the original back in the day(well, the director’s cut at least) but it has been 25+ years since then. Maybe I’ll download that and throw it on my PS classic instead.

Yeah. If you're going to play REmake, go back and replay the original with whichever character so the mansion is fresh in your mind and you can contrast it to the changes in the original.

The layout is essentially the same, all the original areas are intact. But, there's some branching out areas that are new. The art direction in it is so fucking strong and so many of the camera angles are pure art.

Anyone have a good Resident Evil 0 speedrun? I am in a mood for one, but I watched one that put a bad taste in my mouth
https://youtube.com/watch?v=doSAOR1QppoThis Keffals look alike is about as boring and lacking in charisma as him, he doesn't talk about his strats/the game as much as he is just talking with his chat about the most boring shit known to mankind. It sounds more like a spoken discord chatroom than anything, which I guess is about right for modern day streamer niggers. I was interested in seeing how a RE game where you have to control two characters would look in a speedrun, what I got was him talking about how WHACKY he is for spending money on two shitty games he doesn't want to play, but he WILL play them because making videos on games is his job. Classy, why even bother putting out this garbage if it's something that clearly nobody will enjoy watching that wasn't there for the stream? Oh wait, that's how he makes his money, never mind. If anyone has any good RE Speedrun recommendations, I will take something other than RE0 as well, anything is better than this.

Speaking of which, I have been getting the itch to play the games again...but I have been playing Dead Rising recently as well, so the idea of not killing every single zombie I see, with my bare hands if need be, just seems silly, so the proper Survival-Horror titles are out. Maybe I will play RE4 or RE5 when I get the chance, I want to try out the HD mod for 4.
>streamer is an ugly incel
>autistically obsessed with speed running horror games

I'm honestly shocked that he's not a tranny.

He has zero charisma, but he's still better than other Dead Rising content creators(which is why I started watching him in the first place. It's rough out there for DR fans)
Then again, the Western face of Resident Evil is now an actual tranny, and he's an official Crapcom influencer to boot, so it can always get worse. There have to be better RE content creators out there, I've ended up watching Maximilian's(another crapcom shill) randomizers lately since I couldn't find anything better.

Speaking of Capcoms favourite tranny, The original games are being re-released on PC and of course, The Shill is already shilling it. I wont link the video for oblivious reasons.

CarcinogenSDA has great videos on all Resident Evil games except REmake 4, he quit playing the game.
he's not particularly a speedrunner, but he's more of a no infinite ammo, no cheats, hardest mode, no saves, no damage run kind of guy. though his runs are still on the realm of reaching the par time. he makes Inferno run no item shop, no damage run of REmake3 look easy

Oh just wait until the REmake of it. It will be a good comparison case to show just how bad clown world has gotten.
To the Capcom employee who reads Kiwifarms, please release the Resident 5 remake on Pedojoe's discount July 4th in the following years.

It's kind of shocking to me that resident Evil 4 had very few direct imitators especially since the ones that did come out like Cold Fear were pretty solid.

I wouldn't say Cold fear was imitating RE4 just following the slowly evolving trend for Survival Horror.

They came out months apart. Jan 11 for RE4, and march 15 for Cold Fear.

It had some like Alone in the Dark (ironic, I know) and Dead Space was literally called "RE4 but in space". The former was a bad example while the latter was a good one.
