Been meaning to ask this, but why dose everyone want Leon to be part of the new game? He is an alright character but the fanbase look like raging lunatics asking if he will be in the game or not.

because they love him, Leon has been with most people since their first RE, which was for a ton of people, RE2, and unlike Chris or Jill in RE1, he had a bit of an arc in that game, so he has forever stuck.
RE4 came along and made him actually cool, and that was that.

Wrong. He clicked with people immediately in RE2 with his character design, not to mention he had arguably the best RE built around him specifically. He's been the mascot of the series for 30 years since. RE4 just made him more over.

sort of, everything clicks in retrospect, RE2 was absolutely a fucking breakout game, but Leon could have just been a one off and that would have been that, Claire got a second game before him and she's always been received moderately, fuckin Ada is more popular than her and has essentially never been a fully playable (unless you count RE6) character just a side content character.

RE4 came out and he got his sequel and well, its one of the biggest games to ever exist.

Even in 6 her campaign is the shortest by far (about half as long) and also originally only unlocked after playing the other 3. It also only has one new boss which is barely a boss.

Code Veronica getting Claire feels more like a byproduct of what was setup in RE2 and not her coming back by demand. People liked Claire, but let's be honest RE2 is Leon's game. Chris never caught on like Leon did and I think that went up Capcom's ass because he's their favorite, which is why he's been in four games straight.

I just want a Jill game to end the old cast, but it's going to be that mid bitch they used for 3make for the look.

well they should address how Jill is Soft tier Super Human now, but I doubt they ever will, or have her be a MC ever again, despite her being far more popular compared to how much Capcom has ignored her, fucking everyone remembers her from MVC2, the last time she was playable was Revelations 1, which is a great game, but that's old as shit.
Claire ever getting the MC spot again will be really fucking jarring, I will completely lose suspension of disbelief if she gets wrapped up in another BOW for the 7th time if you count the canon movies and side shit, all while being a Civie just bumbling into them again and again, and like 4 of them Leon shows up to help her and despite their constant run-ins they are barely friend somehow.

I never had a problem with Leon or Chris showing up to these things, since its their job, but Claire showing up so often is just straight up silly.
