Thats close to the plot of 6

where a man got yellow fever and created bioweapons using the chrysilid virus (c-virus) to make his wife look like Ada through metamorphosis. His wife then goes insane and infects the world with the c-virus to get revenge on him and Ada by framing her.

So it looks like there's copies that leaked early. I'm going dark from everywhere as much as I can till next weekend after I've beaten it.

I don't really get why people are so shocked or give a fuck. Resident Evil's a fun series but taking the story/lore seriously has always made me scratch my head. Past 3 the series sailed headlong into Retard Town.

Gameplay wise I'm not torn up about what I've heard.

Everybody rejected 8 for being too different so they naturally backslid into fanservice slop. You get what you ask for I guess.
 
eh, I wouldn't call it trash, these leaks certainly paint it as more convoluted and self-referential than previous entries though.
its not even close to as weird as RE6, lets be honest.

We've already known about the gameplay for months. It's just the sheer lack of creativity on all fronts that surprises me. This game isn't even fanservice. It's utterly nothing. I and everyone else in this thread has already played this game before. Why is anyone supposed to pay 70 bucks for this?

Stuff is getting taken down almost as fast as it goes up. A google search for the leaks will likely lead you to somewhere with the details. I myself have seen footage on youtube that some guy from Montenegro leaked by filming his TV playing the game. His channel is still up but he's since removed the vids.

From what I've seen, it looks like its going to be a very schizophrenic game. Im honestly looking forward to the laughs.

Remember this post though, this is probably going to be considered RE 6 2 - only slightly better.

The ending where Leon gets hit head blown off is hilarious, and its funny seeing people flip out about the "Ring" thing.

idk how true it is, but im also seeing that the game sort of tricks you in to the bad ending.

I’ve already looked at a lot of them. I don’t know why I do. I get very curious and then I think after “why did I do that?”
 
In more positive news, a madlad is doing with Capcom don't, namely adding (some?) missing parts from the original Resident Evil 3 to the remake:





looks pretty cool, especially if he can manage to integrate the Nemesis and when he will appear, since the devs of the Remake did their due diligence and gave him a lot of moves.

As nice as it is I would be surprised to see this yield meaningful results. I don't really know how easy it is to mod these games but I feel like adding new areas would probably fuck up the game's scripting and progression unless he relegated it very heavily to some small side stuff.

I am still super pissed about this remake. RE3 is such an underrated game in the franchise, getting done dirty like it was really reminded me that you can't trust Capcom to not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

He's retouching the script. He removed the Nemesis and Brad from the start of the game, so I would assume he is planning to alter the plot to more closely match the original.

From a few comments he's made, he can manipulate the game quite a lot, as has been shown by including wholly new items, the save mechanic from RE2R, locations with interactable elements (padlock in the warehouse office) et al. There's also a lot in the game files themselves, since RE3R had a lot of it cut fairly early on, but you can still find whole chunks of the city in various states of completion, lacking collision for the most part.

The biggest hurdle is likely going to be the voice acting and cutscenes if he's one of those retards that refuse to use AI. That and animations, if new ones can even be added to the game, since that will limit how many new weapons or enemies can be put in the game.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a pirated copy, the game has denuvo and Empress has retired/stopped cracking games and the rest of the scene aren't really willing to attempt to crack denuvo for some reason. There are still games that have been released for over a year now with no crack, like Dragon's Dogma 2 or Black Myth: Wukong.
 
Just saw the leaks about the new Resident Evil Requiem, it hit all woke ESG checkboxes. At this point i think Crapcom can't produce anything original anymore. A whole game made with a crap script and recycled enemies/bosses only for female staff at Crapcom goon over Leon, what a shit show.

I'm not even going to pretend to know how this shit works, but there's currently 2 people with enough autism to crack denuvo active on cs.rin.ru.
One method is more absolute but time consuming (Voice38 ), and the guy is basically cracking games and learning as he goes. The last "good" game he cracked was the Dead Space 1 remake. Chronologically, I think the next game is Yakuza and such.

The other is a more quick and dirty method (Hypervisor). I can't pretend to know how it works but it involves the CPU in some capacity. For some reason it only works on AMD CPUs but he managed to get it working with intel or something. He has cracked Black Myth Wukong this way. I think the flaw tied to it is that it can potentially be undone by some update to the CPU, windows, or simply won't work with older or newer CPUs. Something in that general area.

In hindsight there's been shockingly few games worth cracking.
Even still, there'll probably be a wait before RE9 is cracked. I think the most recently released game cracked via this method was the Persona 3 remake.

I don't know if RE9 is/will be good.
Haven't looked at the leaks, though a user here said "schizophrenic" and comparing it to RE6.
I'm expecting either hilarity or cringe.
