This was on the front page of nhentai and feel the need to share because I know rule 34 exists but this is just what

I searched resident evil village on Amazon and this was one of the first results. Honestly I’m about done with this franchise at this point. When did resident evil go from horror to wank bait?

Hot take: Not looking forward to the remake.

Gameplay. It will, undoubtedly, go the route of 2make. No attaché case. Which changes the whole shape of the game.

Graphics. The original still holds up, especially the castle. As for content...

Playing RE4 made me tired. Not because it's boring, but because there's almost too much content. It's very obviously three games squished into one. What are you gonna do? Add MORE insect hives, mine cart chases and lava rooms?
Graphically, on my CRT, it's interesting, dated but nostalgic, "GameCube games on a CRT" is definitely an aesthetic.

But at the same time I feel like it'd be a perfect fit for the RE engine.

It's funny because I never really considered RE4 that scary. Sure the opening moment was crazy, but the siutaions and enemys were so ridculous to me I thought it was a hilairous blast.
It isn't that scary, in fact it's actually kind of hilarious, in a way that feels on purpose.

I don't just mean the cheesy dialog but stuff like blowing up a stick of dynamite while it's still in a villager's hand or that part in the ravine where shooting them in the leg makes them fall off bridges or simply blowing their head off with a sniper rifle, all that coupled with the fact that the villagers simply look ridiculous, it's great comedy.

But eh, while it's a lot of fun I do prefer the zombies since they actually looked creepy, this is one place where RE8 really improves things is by having the things you're going up against be monstrous and not just people in funny old clothes.

But all I was saying is while 4 is not that scary, it still has some tense moments, especially whenever you hear a chainsaw.

One part which freaked me out was the dirty water wells. (The water causes items to depreciate in value.) What's in there?

Reminds me a little of Heather refusing to inspect the Robbie the Rabbit costumes. Let your mind fill in the blanks.
That's one thing I love is the gross out aspect of the game.

It's always had sex appeal going back to Jill Valentine, in fact Jill and Rebecca in REmake and RE0 wear their pants so tight I can only assume they're wearing thong underwear since I don't see any panty line lol.

In fact I was reading on the Resident Evil wikia that the original script for the Resident Evil movie had a Jill shower scene, which makes me think of the Chun Li shower scene in the Street Fighter anime movie.

My problem isn’t necessarily good looking women, it’s that we have a villain that isn’t scary at all and is just something a bunch of people wank to.

hell, when I was young I had a crush on Claire.

Lady D is pretty scary though, it's spooky to see her tall figure wandering around, looking for you, her height is what makes her monstrous, again unlike the villagers in RE4 who are just people in funny old clothes.

It's kinda genus though, because she's only the starter villain right? I haven't gotten the chance to play 8, but it seems like her becoming the "face" did a good job hiding all the other surprises.

I wonder what a cross over between Phoenix Wright and Resident Evil would be like? Many a rod would be beaten until a tank empties, I can assure you!

I legit thought she was going to be like Jack in 7, someone who keeps popping up throughout most of the game.

Played more of 4 and yeah, it's a fucking great game, it's one of those games that just "feels" very good to play, much like Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox, gaming was absolutely on fire back then.

I do kind of worry what the remake might change with the intricacies of the controls and the like that might make it feel off, literally all we need is the same game but with better graphics, but even then I gotta say there are moments where the game has been reminding me of how mind blowing it looked when it was, the HD release fooled me, playing it as it would have been designed to be seen, ie on a CRT, smoothes the graphics out nicely and while aspects are of course dated today, I'm finding it more appealing to the eye than my initial impression.

Also, I honestly forgot how big Ashley's "ballistics" are, that sort of thing really sticks out nowadays (also you can very briefly see up her skirt in the cutscene where they jump out of the church window), it's funny how unWoke the whole idea is, this hapless damsel in distress hiding behind a big, strong man as he takes on the bad guys, I wonder how the remake is going to address this and I wonder just many thinkpieces whining about it we are going to get.

I mean in the same game you have an ass kicking female in the form of Ada Wong, in a series with other characters like Jill, Claire and Rebecca who fight, it's just who Ashley happens to be and is not meant as a slam on all women or anything, but depicting any female character as weak is an SJW no-no because we can't have nuance anymore.

It's much like how RE5 is also hilariously unWoke today too, people got butthurt even back then but imagine if that game came out today.

Hey, ashley may look like she is useless, but later in the game out of the blue can drive heavy mashinery.

On a side note, reading about her dad, the President, on the Resident Evil wikia, it's evidently been officially confirmed that 9/11 happened in the Resident Evil universe, I mean that makes sense, especially considering Salazar's comment about terrorism being a "popular word these days" but dang, imagine if an entire US city had been nuked just a few priors to 9/11.

It reminds me of that line in Jurassic World about "Tora Bora" implying 9/11 happened in the Jurassic Park universe, again, it makes sense because even when writing fiction the world would be such a radically different place if it had never happened that it's safe to assume anything set in the present day that that's the case, but it's kind of depressing to think of 9/11 happening in even things like the Jurassic Park universe.

But jack was mostly a starter villain too. He only showed once or twice after the chainsaw fight.

Which I personally consider a mistake, He should have been like nemesis the whole game. He had a very unique combination of being funny and scary as shit.

I find it worse when its a universe where 9/11 never happened but something else did, like a bunch of bombings at a packed football stadium. Kinda wish more media explored reality's like that. Ive only ever seen one game do that and that was Consortium.
