Just set it as your secondary/backup DNS. This makes it all work automatically.
If anyone actually needs an on/off button, any program or browser extension that lets you use custom DNS servers should suffice. They usually have an on/off button.

2. Are there any prominent .ST domains (not us or Poast)?
According to wiki, a lot of companies use .st domains as shortcuts or domain shortening. telstra in australia uses tel.st, wapo uses wapo.st, for instance. It's not quite got the cachet of .co or .tv, but it sees a lot of use.

Actually now that I brought it up... Having Kiwi on OpenNIC would be pretty cool as an alternative to Tor. Since it would be (effectively) clearnet. Just an alternate DNS server. Full speed and all. The domains are free so there's really no risk in trying. Even if they yank us off the network it doesn't actually cost anything. Although I think there's a decent chance they'd leave us alone. There's a ton of edgy shit on there. Endchan has been on their network for years. There's also a .null TLD that would be perfect IMO.
There's also a .chan TLD, but the obvious may already be taken.

Lost my old login. Glad DNS works well enough for new registrations.

You're doing the Lord's work, Josh. If more men had your tenacity and bloody-mindedness the world would be a better place. Godspeed and Godsneed.

A lovely lazy Saturday afternoon, taking a break before family comes and stays for the Holidays and some ugly perverted men in dresses have decided to make my life a little less convenient, temporarily.
I will shitpost again because Our Fearless Sneeder is at the helm.
Tor is down for me, and I just refreshed until st worked.
Tis a great battle going on in the ether around me and my champion is winning.
Thanks for all you do, Josh.
Merry Christmas.

What a week.

Wednesday: Epik hijacks .net, then begrudgingly hands Null the codes to take .net elsewhere
Thursday: the CEO of Cogent issues an order to blackhole the Farms by Friday 17:00 local time (wherever Cogent local is)
Friday: Unprecedented DDoS attack against several of KF's data centers and an entire small African nation ensues

There's no way in Hell these aren't connected. I don't mean in the way that the Troonwaffen have seized a spontaneous opportunity to DDoS the Farms; I mean a co-ordinated effort by some serious industry heavy-hitters.

Maybe it's the new tinfoil hat talking, but there's an non-zero chance that the faggots at Epik, that Schaeffer kike from Cogent and LFJ cooked this up together, possibly with the assistance of Papa Janke.

Who else but a Tier 1 ISP or a glowie would have access to enough bandwidth to launch a DDoS attack against an entire country?

São Tomé and Príncipe is a tiny island nation over 90 miles off the coast of Africa. They might have tin cans and string in their networking stack. Maybe it's operated out of Sweden though.
