How does that affect any pending lolsuit? If the old owners or intermediate holder used the X handle to defame jawsh and the new owners claim "not us btfo"

The slander still has their name attached to it. I'm guessing you could at least force them to send out a retraction that blames previous management.
Yes, they acquired the liabilities.

On the flip side, if the new "owners" don't have any ideological stance against the kiwifarms, it would be very easy to exchange a few emails between lawyers, and then agree to issue a retraction blaming it all on the old employee.

This is a situation where both Josh and the owners would appreciate having an easy out and NOT having to take this to court. This would also free up time and funds for Josh to address the next few defamers down the list.

Retractions are cheap, and insanely practical for a for profit company. Standing by your slander is incredibly expensive. Just take a look at Nick Reiketa. How much has he spent for a lawyer? All because he wanted to stand by calling a guy a pedophile who hasn't touched any kids, and who's worst crime was putting forth a crappy self made movie.

The new owners have been in control of Epik since the Asset Sale went through around June 1st 2023. They had been using Epik Inc's ICANN Accreditation which transferred over to Epik LLC on 01/31/2024 still IANA# 617. Any statement after May 31st 2023 was done under their "new ownership".

Um why did a business which specializes in registering LLCs for people buy a company which is a domain registrar and specializes in networking?
My guess is so they have a direct line to registering domains for said LLCs instead of relying on a partnership. Basically setting themselves up as a one-stop-shop to get yourself a startup.

🤔 Hmmm a nice retraction would be beneficial directly for josh but would it help against deplatforming attempts by disgusting vile troons?
Presumably Null's lawyer should demand that this retraction include a public confession that the allegations were made up bullshit. Which then becomes useful in convincing platforms not to deplatform us.

Ideally, Null would push for Epik to publish a full page ad in one or more of the major US daily newspapers with a full retraction and apology. Sure Null wouldn't see a single red cent from Epik, but ads in publications such as WaPo and WSJ aren't cheap. Not only would it hurt Epik's reputation even further, it'd hurt their finances too.

I wonder if that would even matter to the domain registrar 'community'. Epik has already been labeled as the neo-Nazi host. Epik clearly doesn't care about their reputation now, allowing middle school tier Xeeting. Some kind of injunctive relief would send a very powerful message though. I think this should happen in court.

Agreeing to retract and apologize is pretty significant no matter your reputation. But going past that, if you're someone who trusts Epik, you'll take the retraction as evidence of KF's innocence, and if you don't trust Epik, you shouldn't have believed the allegations in the first place.

Obviously none of this will affect deranged trannies who wish to slander KF, but other businesses which need to maintain some level of good PR are another story. Fighting this out in court will bear more powerful results but also vastly increase costs for Null. I think either outcome is pretty good for us but I can't judge which would be better. Imo being able to piggyback off this and use the remaining funds to win a suit against Dong Gone would be the holy grail perfect scenario.

Epik is the perfect soft target, these guys are lying clown shoes. The clownish squeaks they'll make in court will serve as a message to all the other Internet-collapsing losers and will also be probatively enlightening.

Apparently Epik was purchased by Registered Agents themselves, and they weren't used just as a proxy for real buyers.

This answers so many questions. At least I know I'm not totally schizo* on this one!

Edit:
So wait, what? Has Epik basically ceased to exist?

It could actually be a good thing if the idiots who bought it have now inherited its liabilities.

If I understand the documents Sherpa Derpa posted previously (and earlier), old Epik was split up, not dissolved. The domain registrar business went to nu-Epik, named "Epik LLC", purportedly now owned by the company Registered Agents. Rob Monster kept the other parts under the confusingly named "Epik Inc" and "Epik Holdings Inc".

Epik LLC was the account tweeting the defamation, and if Registered Agents were the buyers last June that means the retard intern was solidly under their control while doing so. I don't think any ownership changes happened between the tweets and now, they're just announcing it.

He also photoshopped Nick's face on an egg and called him a sweaty sausage and that's clearly worse in Nicks mind than his good house nigger friend Drexel who by his own admission actually groomed a child or Vito the pedo.

Nice roasts:
At this point, it’s hard to tell how many customers Epik can retain. After the hacking and financial scandals, all but the most die-hard or desperate transferred their domains elsewhere. With Epik pulling a 180 on its free-speech branding and posting bizarre messages on social media, the company probably has few potential customers left.

A good thing they included the tweets to XJosh too.

Shitcock.

This company is going to cease to exist and does not need to be sued.

It is DYING.
I’m guessing this is why they let their pet troon sperg out on their Twitter, they all knew they were getting wound up.

What they didn’t know was that they’d woke a cheese loving sleeping giant.

We're not sure what happened on Twitter. The timing was also weird as it happened right before the ICANN final approval. We have since locked down permissions on Twitter and set up two factor for the login. As you have figured out. PR and posting on forums and social media is not our specialty. We're much more focused on the product and the development and the customer service and operations.

We have many people with decades and decades of domain registrar experience working here already. They just don't want to go public to you all quite yet. We've made hundreds and hundreds of code fixes and the product gets a little better every day.

In the last 6 months we think you'd struggle to find someone that has been financially screwed by us. That's probably your biggest evidence that Rob Monster is no longer involved here.

If they really wanted to go with the 'we wuz haecked un sheeeit' excuse they shouldn't have reverted to the same childish HRT-fuelled behavior seen on Twitter in their latest post. Everyone with dealings with Epik should pull their shit now. I don't know what's going on, but it ain't good. The one thing I know is going on is they're establishing plausible deniability now that Josh has a war fund.
