Anyone can make a game these days. I played a game called "The Planet Crafter" that was a strange hybrid of Subnautica and an idle clicker. Made me realize I could probably make a game if I put my mind to it.

Anyone on KF made a game? What's a good place to start?

Maybe learn something about game design first. There are many genres, so you'll have to research them to figure out what you want to do. Even making a low-effort game still takes effort.
For 3D level design, I recommend "Level with me" videos by this gay guy:

Decide what kind of game you want to make, then research tools on how to make it. If you're not sure right now, recreate simple games like snake, breakout or tetris, maybe add extra shit on top.

https://weboasis.app/ With the cascading green-text out of the way, this site is also a convenient "one stop shop" for internets/computer stuff.

Will bring a list of torrent clients, trackers, and other downloadable shit. Pirate at your own risk but this can get you any software you could need.

Development shit/forums for troubleshooting. There's straight-up guide links too.

News, file hosting, and products/services.
Up above it is a search field with a lot of useful search engines. "How do make vidya gaem" should get you to a babby guide. There's various other useful things around the site.
