Retcon Round-Up

He said literally the exact opposite of this during his Minecraft shit.
He actually said both during Minecraft.
Phil said in this order:
  • "I never brought up this person's name"
  • "I purposefully didn't want to call out a person's name"
  • "I'll be very honest with all of you, I didn't remember the name of the person or whatever-who it was-I couldn't remember"
  • "I know exactly what this person looks like"
  • "but I-I kno-I can't remember-for the life of me remember them, okay? And it's my fault, it's been years and years, we're talking 7 plus years or whatever"
  • "I just couldn't-I didn't want to say a name, I didn't want to call out someone like that on a stream or whatever"
  • "Ladies & Gentleman that person who made that video IS NOT THE PERSON WHO I WAS TALKING ABOUT LAST WEEK AT ALL!!"
  • "This is not who I was talking about. Like I said I remember SPECIFICALLY who this person is!"
  • "I'm watching the video and I'm like 'I don't know who this is'"
  • "I know this isn't who I was talking about"
  • "I don't know who that is"

Phil is this stupid. He doesn't remember the name of the person, only remembers their face from 7 years ago, can't fucking remember who they are at all, but also is such a good person he didn't want to call them out by name even though he couldn't, and also specifically remembers who this person is, doesn't know who GamerJLee is, but knows for sure GamerJLee is not the person he was thinking of that he met at SGC 7 years ago. This is your brain on alcoholism. timestamp @ 2m02s

I assume this new story came up when Superblindman asked him if he rocks around every second because the blind guy hears the difference especially well.

People at work called him "Sway" because of it.

"Ummmmm Superblindman cheered and said.......let's see......*SNORT*......Oh he said something stupid but I will address it because he is a long term paypi....I mean supporter of mine"

*Attempt to sit straight*

"But um, no I did not rock back and forth, I don't know if that's a detractor meme or not but LOOK, LOOK HERE, LISTEN, I'm sitting straight so why you asking this stupid question, ARE YOU FUCKING BLIND?"

DSP retconing (lying) his italian sauce.

He only puts in a very small sugar. He only did that once (you know which one I mean, its in the video btw).
Tevin pointed out that he did not complain about it back in the day. I would say dsp might be lying, but its dsp so ofc he is lying.

Thanks guys the help!

"Me putting on the vest or hat is special because I don't do it all the time. If I did it every stream, it wouldn't be special anymore! What would be the point!? Right? So no, I'm not gonna put on the vest every stream! We're not incentivizing those things all the time!"

April 3, 2020:

Wearing the vest for the 11th stream in a row due to receiving at least $100 in tips per stream.

It's a shame that this thread is not that active anymore, because there's a lot of content that could be posted here but has been buried in General discussion.
From my perspective, it's one of DSP's tactics to overflood his stories with lies so that no one knows what's happening anymore or so that they lose track of it (often even himself), and when gets caught with both hands in the cookie jar he just appeals to "my family's protection" (see: Ja$per), or something absurd.

Here is where we post "conspiracy theories" based on facts and actual statements, I'll just start with a mild one, inspired by this comment:
You guys hear he bought that vest?

In an attempt to make a joke, he mentions that he bought the golden vest. You can argue that he said this to make the joke work, but he would be so stupid to do this intentionally when the time frame is close to the suspicious purchases of a new laptop, and console.
Timestamp at 42:40

In the same video at 44:20 he corrects himself in response to chat: "I didn't buy the vest? You're absolutely right, I did not. A fan donated the vest to me."

So obviously as of right now I can't prove anything, but if he were questioned on this I bet his response would be:
"I was trying to make a joke (nervous laugh) boy! people are stupid... alright... (sips)"

At this point he can't be trusted with anything, you'd be a fool to take his word on that alone.

A few years ago, Phil was really hurting for money, but he also needed a new television and PS4 Pro. His Playstation 4 was breaking and kept ejecting game discs from the front! Let's just ignore the fact that Phil had stopped buying physical copies of games at this point.

Anyways, Phil was lucky enough that a long time fan decided to donate him a PS4 and brand new television. Just like how a long time fan decided to donate him a brand new Xbox Series X recently.

So here come the idiot conspiracy theory trolls saying, "Phil bought the PS4 and television himself" Umm, wrong! Phil doesn't have money to spend on a new television and PS4, he's losing his house dood!

How did this mystery fan know what television to buy? Umm, Phil told them. How did Phil know exactly when the television would arrive? Umm, he got an email. No matter what questions were asked, Phil was adamant that he did not buy the television or PS4.

Years later in the bankruptcy call, Phil still claimed that these items were donated by a fan. He did not buy them himself.

Now, he gets the Xbox and lets it slip that he actually did buy the television. The fan sent him money and he used it to buy a television. But don't worry, he didn't go all out and get an expensive one. He bought a reasonably priced 4k television.

Since 100% of Phil's income is "crowdsourced" aka he gets money from fans, he bought this television with his own money. There is no difference from a fan giving Phil money for a television to a fan giving Phil money for "doing a good job on stream".

Furthermore, if this fan did give Phil money specifically for a television, and Phil did not spend the entire amount on said television (because he didn't go all out and got a cheaper one) where did the rest of the fan's money go? Did Phil mail him a refund check, or did it go right into Phil's pocket? I think we know the answer to that.
